The Black Keys and The Libertines also with new albums dropped tonight!

Good week for new music indeed

Certainly a bop, but Charli XCX has a new album out first week of June, so I’d hold off on calling it the song of the Summer.

If Von Dutch (:fire:) and the remix are any sign, it’s going to be something off that album

Hot Mulligan’s Choose Your Fightour last night was a blast. A good spread of tracks from the discography plus the two latest singles (Drink Milk and Run, Stickers of Brian). When the opening riff of How Do You Know It’s Not Armadillo Shells? hit the place exploded. Just Friends was a blast. Free Throw’s audio mix was borderline bad, but Two Beers In was an awesome live sing along. Only rivals MoBo’s Tears Over Beers for me in that regard.

Highly recommend seeing the tour if they’re near you and you’re a fan.

In the drive thru at Cane’s. We were listening to a Tyler Childers show from 2018. Then we turned it down to order, and we still hear Tyler playing but NOT from our car. It was blaring from the speakers outside of Cane’s. Ha.

After finally getting to listen to the whole thing - this album is a complete banger. All the best parts of their sound are there but does a good amount of experimentation. A couple of the weird synthesized sounds are a little over the top but I can forgive that. So many melodies that make you just close your eyes and nod along. Ezra’s vocals are great and they really used the voice well as an instrument the whole way through.

I freaking love indie rock and this is pretty much as good as it gets.

Very well said. Loving this album. For me it’s the best they’ve sounded since Rostam left and even tops some of the music they made while he was still with the band. Mary Boone, Prep-school Gansgters, and Pravda getting a lot of play time.

Went to the movies last night to listen to the new Pearl Jam record. It’s…actually pretty darn good.

This hits all the right notes for me. 9.5/10, immediate ‘bop’ status, already adding to playlists.

Did they have it in like 5.1 mix or anything?

Dolby atmos. It didn’t really work well.

It’s such a fun and loose record. I’m excited to hear it again Friday.

I mean this is more enjoyable than anything they’ve put out in 20 years.

This one has strong Tom Petty “Learning to Fly” vibes.
