@djpie Very intrigued to find out which R.E.M. albums were discussed with Bones. So many ways this could go!
The Noah Kahan and Chelsea Cutler albums are great recs. Been listening to Chelsea in particular since her first feature with Quinn XCII and I think her music and production have gotten exponentially better with each new project she puts out.
Noah & Chelsea were coincidentally performing in Portland (ME) within 48 hours of each other back in October, and both shows were excellent. Fourth time my fiancée and I had seen Chelsea specifically, she is fantastic live. Was half-hoping she’d bring Noah out for Crazier Things but she sang his verse.
Believe they are both performing at Boston Calling this spring too.
no no, she forgot the words to his verse and it was hilarious and endearing. I was at the barricade for that show and we sang the first verse of “You’re Gonna Miss This” making direct eye contact. She’s super kind after meeting her a handful of times so it’s a lot of fun to keep going. Super excited to see them both at Boston Calling too
Was hoping Noah would come back here for his summer tour but looks like his only New England shows are in Burlington and at Boston Calling. His tickets go fast.
I’m tempted to buy burlington or NYC tickets for resale cause I missed him in Boston
Perfect song is such an objective thing, but I was irrationally angry at some of the songs put up by people in this thread!

Mentioned this in the bracket thread, but if you like pure talent and singer-songwriters, you should check out Sam Fender.
This is an acoustic set he did live in lockdown in April 2020 to benefit the UK Red Cross. He plays two Springsteen covers and two of his best songs. This is timestamped at “The Borders.” Amazing storytelling. The production of his albums is great, but it’s cool to hear the songs standup solo here.
I can always rely on one month of the year with me listening to lots of The XX
I still listen to The Force occasionally when I’m trail running, nothing after Inhuman Rampage, sort of a throwback to when I would to get absolutely ripped and go for jogs around the campus lakes in college. Good times. Anyway I hadn’t checked in on them in over five years. Early results on this album are that it’s super fun. Love the retro style and feel. And this cover FUQs.
