I saw a girl on Tik Tok do the math that the average set will have to be 25 minutes to accommodate that many bands in twelve hours across three stages. Which is perfect for the bands at the way bottom of the poster who only have 15 minutes worth of decent music as is.
Real talk though - MCR is playing Vegas literally two weeks prior so they must have been given metric ass loads of cash to make this festival appearance worth it. My guess is both them and Paramore will play at the same time and thatās a massive bummer for anyone attending.
4th episode of Peacemaker had this tune in it. Even as a young kid, it always made me sad. I didnāt get it, but the tune and everything just hit me. Can still barely listen to it without getting weirdly reflective. Hahahaha. Good song from a fuckin band called fucking Faster Pussycat, though. What a name.
I once got drunk with Greg Steele after a 'Cats show in Roseville, Michigan in the parking lot of a now defunct concert venue. (The Ritz)
We hit up a National Coney Island after, where he continued to pound pitchers of light beer. Iām sure there were drugs involved on his end as well. He then felt sick, ran to the bathroom, and passed out. I couldnāt get him to wake up, and was ready to go. I let the management know, and bounced. From what I know, the rest of the band left for Chicago that night, and he had to fly in the next day for their show.
āGet off my back you monkey
Ya got my nerves jumping like a junkie today
Poison ivy ya come creepinā up right behind me
You make me itch baby youāre so unkind
Poison ivy youāre like poison ivy
You make me itch and Iām out of calamineā
I made a disturbing realization last night/this morning. I like Peaches by Justin Beiber.
I like bass and drum driven songs
I like good choruses and hooks
And he references going āup to the Northā with his wife, which is about the town that the golf courses I work at are in (Heās played on our courses a few times now)
Even though some of the lyrics are cringey, Iāve been hook, line, and sinkerāed.
(And ever since COVID hit in 2020, Iāve listened to WAY less radio and Sirius. So thatās how I hadnāt heard it until recently)
Weāll probably watch the El Deafo series on Apple TV just for the Waxahatchee soundtrack. And because it was a favorite book in this house a few years ago.
