LowCal vs NorCal - Copa de California

I was at Ojai Valley Inn a couple of months ago, and they said I could walk. But I had walked each of the two previous days so I decided to take the included cart. Pretty happy I did. There are some longer green-tee transitions, and it’s pretty hilly. I’d rate it a 4/5 in terms of strenuousness. For scale, I think Pasatiempo is a 2 out of 5 (i.e. much easier than OVI).

I would skip OVI. Not worth the green fee. It’s fine, but they don’t take great care of it for how much they charge.

If you can get on at Los Verdes or Rancho Park after your flight, those are the best bets close by. Hard to find tee times though.

When and where are we playing next?

Hopefully the 2024 Copa de California takes place in the fall.

still trying to figure out how to do this

Being from Ventura county I would suggest either Soule Park or Rustic Canyon. Both are fun courses that are easy to walk.

So, uh, who wants to make this happen in 2025?

Seeing as I’m a pot stirrer, I figured I’d lead the charge to get the ball rolling again
