So, fiancee and I went to Norton’s on Tuesday, that’s immediately gone to 2nd behind CSB…
and we did tour a YMCA and immediately decided to cancel our membership at Genesis. We (Thankfully) signed up on a month-to-month deal but it’ll be nice to go from $115/month down to ~$40/month at the Y (we found out my fiancee gets a corporate discount for working at Wesley )
I like Norton’s in the fall/winter for the strong heavy stouts etc. Hard for me to get excited in 100* weather at the moment lol. Glad you went to the Y. NW and Andover are the best ones. West side is smaller but older and quiet crowd. Downtown is meh. East side one is nice too. Genesis and the Stevens aren’t my jam so biased there lol
I have a membership for anytime fitness as part of my Rolling Hills membership since they don’t have a gym. Several years ago when I was at Willowbend they had a partnership with Genesis for the same thing. I paid like $220 mth for full golf and Genesis, was almost too good of a deal.
It’s worth asking the different clubs what they can do for a combo.
Yeah, we toured the NW branch and it blew us away and it’s only like 8-10 mins from our house… Don’t get me wrong the West Central Genesis is nice, with the pool and tennis courts but not worth it…
This is also good to know… I won’t start scoping out clubs until later in the year once we’re more established but def will do this…
Also, in case someone hasn’t seen it on the Discord, @KurtKnudson and I are going to play Sand Creek on Saturday at 2PM, other 2 spots are still open, if anyone else is free/interested.
I’ll be a bachelor this weekend which means I’m going on the sw Kansas tour. Friday evening might just practice a few hours or play evening 9 at southwind. Saturday will be 36 starting with Buffalo dunes and then southwind after. Sunday is 18 at Mariah Hills in dodge city and will play Cimmaron golf club after ( 9 holer but will play 18 if it’s not slow as shit) then I’m probably going to eat an entire pizza by myself and watch the end of the St. Jude and sleep.
Well, maybe much more jam-packed with activities, taking advantage of the weekend than I… which I would equate to increased excitement… All I have is 18 at sand creek, Jazz/live music downtown, a brewery visit or two… and after a recent poll, opening a Costco membership
