Yep. That was the plan this year as well. Filled by non members guys after as subs. I think Collin was the only one I had in early.
Absolutely makes sense to fill in with whoever after the fact. Tell Colin to pay his $90 and he can be in early next year too.
I second this the non refuge guys were filled in after the fact
Live look at me in front of my locker after a Net 82 and having to leave the post-round party early.
If this is a basis to not be brought back, I’m in trouble as well.
Did we get a final count on money raised btw @Amholzman24 ?
Just under $2300 organic.
Still waiting on employer match news which should be shortly.
Well one week since the event, can’t believe it’s already been a week. Here are a few details I can share on behalf of @Amholzman24 and I for next year for you to keep on your radar:
For 2024 the plan is to go to the originally intended venue, the Blackwolf Run Championship Course. We’re going to do our best to not conflict dates with the NIT but given availability of the Championship Course this may not be possible. The 2024 date will be a Friday in late October early November. We may announce dates as early as May but the latest would be around mid-August like this year. Trying to book our spot as soon as possible with Kohler.
Format will not change, the letting everyone pick their own tees and the team format worked well from our view. We also will likely have room for more than 40 players / 8 teams should demand be high enough.
Any Refuge member who played in the 2023 Irish Coffee edition or paid and donated their entry to our charity figures (@Pinehurts & @doraziojohn ) will be given a week’s early access to sign up for 2024. Thank you again everyone for making year 1 a huge success despite the late change in venue. In addition to a week’s early access you can choose to stay on your 2023 team, choose to be put onto a new random team, or we will be having some sort of “free agency” where you can essentially request to be put onto a specific team. More to come on how this will specifically work in the future. We think the team component is something we can build on going forward. Might need to go the LIV route and get some Microsoft clip-art logos soon
Anyone who didn’t play in 2023, we missed you, who signs up for 2024 will be randomly assigned to a team.
There will once again be a meet up / meet ups for this event so if you had to leave early last time just know we’ll be planning something again and likely bigger for the 2024 edition. The venue switch to Blackwolf Run provides for a better 18th hole experience and more options for what to do afterward so be warned.
Just wanted to throw this out there for everyone to keep on their radars this long Winter and as we all know calendars fill fast. Cheers everyone and hope you see y’all soon!
In case anyone was curious, there will be 35 people getting offered early entry spots. For anyone seeing this wanting to get in next year monitor this space for when we announce next year.

Hi all - coming back one last time with some final numbers.
Total dollars raised for Angelman foundation is $2,320
Thank you to everyone that participated and donated. Looking forward to this event next year as well.
Mate, genuine and sincere huge thank you and @Ultra-Kiger for your kindness with this. It’s already going towards the 2024 goal and it pushed us over $30k raised for the ASF since we got Frankie’s diagnosis in 2022
Cheers
So a lot of Roost news going on today, wanted to share some news we received for the Old Fashioned 2024 as well.
In case you haven’t heard, the Supper Club is alive!
In other news, we have been informed by the Kohler resort they will not be opening the Blackwolf Run Championship course in 2024. Not sure about the future beyond that, but it will not be an option for next year.
The good news though, we have been offered to play again at the Irish course which was seemingly well received. On top of that, because we are looking to play on the Irish course we have more flexibility with dates. So hoping to avoid the NIT & RCC for next year. Stay tuned for more information as it develops but wanted to pass this along.
Some news from the 2023 Irish Coffee, but long story short The Supper Club launched a podcast and the recap episode is live now!
