Yup, @midwestgolfbum is the captain of my team. Let’s make things weird!
If anyone plays the tips and plays more than 4 hours, I’ll have words for you at the bar.
Or I’ll just mutter about how lame you are and give you the p reed tee times next year
If anyone plays tips period there needs to be some discussions about ego. 7200 at 40° is going to play well over 7500.
But what about this:
How am I supposed to give you the scoring controversy you asked for?
Fuck it. I’m playing Green tees on every hole BUT the par threes. Par threes will be tips only.
Figure that one out @Amholzman24
Me trying to score this thing with everyone’s combo tee shenanigans
Blame @Amholzman24 for asking for controversy and me being bored on 5 straight hours of calls.
Having played the blacks in perfect weather on several occasions, however hard you think it is I assure you it’s way harder than that.
Hot take. It’s not that hard. But when it’s cold it is.
You’ve seen my decision making. It’s much better from the tips
69 (nice) in perfect weather says they aren’t too hard.
I’m also just being contrarian for the sake of it and I don’t have that kind of golf in the bag anymore.
Disclaimer, Ashton you shot 48 on the front in our league playing the whites this year.
At the Burban this year, we played in rain, snow, and hail in the span of about four or five holes. That said, I stayed quite comfortable since I was pretty well prepared for the cold and elements. Forecast for this looks downright pleasant.
Those days when I would do that were when I was in college on the golf team and I was also working out there so I liked to mix it up. Any time I played the black tees on any of the Kohler courses I was essentially prepared to be kicked in the nuts for 4 straight hours.
All this talk is making me sad that I cannot play. Goddamn wifes birthday.
Join us next year when it’s at the proper venue!
I just had PTSD back to those dipshits playing the tips in 45 degrees and rain 2 weeks ago. FWIW, we played the greens and it was delightful.
Here’s an idea: on every tee, run a duck race to see which color tee markers you tee off from on that hole. Maximum chaos.
When we played league out there, we have handicaps from 0 to 36, we played the whites. Either greens or whites are plenty for most people. Frankly on the Irish if you drive the ball well there are a lot of birdies especially on the front 9 cause you can take some provocative angles off the tee.
We’ve played a game where if you make birdie you move back. Par stay still. Bogey or worse move up.
Good time
