I’m being “forced” to play tomorrow in these conditties, if it makes you feel any better. We tee off at 8, so it might be a little cool.
It rained last night and into the morning. Clear skies currently. Can see your breath but a super comfy coffee on the deck this morning while I fired up the smoker for a Saturday brisket.
It’s not raining 5 miles from the course. If that helps.
My 8i slipped out of my hand and is currently in the middle of pond on 2.
If not for these guys I would be fucking furious now. We had to skip 5 because a 4some is playing the tips that has no business back there.
Sounds like things are going great!
Fair warning for anyone who intends to try this…the tips are no joke.
Shout out the famous black faced sheep though !
Fight em on 10
My group will be playing the tips. We will take as much time as we need. We paid our money. I don’t want to hear about pace of play!
I just showed this to my wife and now she fully expects me to send pictures of the sheep back to her when I come to play.
Their enclosure is the right of hole 11 so look for them their if you don’t see them before
Are they out year round?
Aside from the sheep, super tough pace of play situation. One group playing the tips that were terrible, which the ranger told us to skip. We caught the next group that said they were stuck by the group in front of them. Turns out they were waiting until the group in front was off the green before they teed off! Truly some shrink the game shit. I love golf, but I hate everyone not from my regular playing group or from the Refuge on the course.
BUT LOOK AT THESE SHEEP!
@golf4miami this is my 6th season closing at the Irish and the first time we’ve seen the sheep.
And just like that. My dreams are dashed.
I’m of two minds about playing the wrong tees for your skill level. On one hand, for the sake of your scorecard and pace of play, of course you should be playing the tees that are consistent with your skill level.
On the other hand, if you’re shelling out multiple hundreds of dollars for a bucket list course, it’s hard to fault someone for trying to max out their experience. You know it’s a tough course, why not play it really tough and see exactly where you stand.
I know it sucks if you’re stuck behind them, but I will refrain from criticizing too much, I might be tempted to do the same.
