To be clear, I was hesitant to actually post my “big head” questions because it’s about the cause first and foremost, and I did pay before I knew what kind of hat it was. Just one of those things that I’d love to wear in addition to the dono.

Bumping this for the Monday crowd. We are rolling along at 35 hats pre-ordered with 32 of those being paid for which is really exciting for a late Friday/weekend turnout. Really excited to see this pop off during the week.
@GooseTrego has also told me he’s got a dinner tonight with a potential supplier of the hats which could really get things moving quickly on that front which would be exciting. Get in here and support Goose people!

Folk’s we’ve got stuff happening!
First up: @GooseTrego posted a long video on Instagram(this is a link) yesterday evening giving a bit more detail on where exactly he’s at in the journey right now as far as diagnosis and processes. He also revealed that he’s working with @rmattgolden on this documentary he’s trying to help fund with the sale of these hats. Go take a look/listen if you haven’t already.
Second: It’s been confirmed as of this morning that Jake is partnering with Fields and Fairways for these hats. He had a meeting with them last night to go over the details and start to work out a plan and right now it’s looking like they will have a pre-sale link on their website in a couple weeks to help get the ball rolling on more sales and the creation/shipping of these hats.
Where does that leave us?
Well, every hat pre-pre-sold here on the Refuge/Nest is going to be first in line for production. So, if you’ve already put your name down and sent me money you’re already in line before the link even goes live on their website. The upshot of that is I need y’alls addresses in order to get these shipped to the right place once they are made.
I’ve created a Google Forms sheet for people to fill out with their address once they have paid so that we can store all of these in one place to be passed along to Fields and Fairways when the time comes. I’ve also added another column to the payment sheet to keep track of who’s addresses we have received. Feel free to check out both below and if you’ve already paid, send me your address so we can keep this ball rolling.
I’m extremely excited about how quickly things are moving here but I also want to get more of these hats pre-pre-sold to help out our boy Goose! Keep showing up!

Not the update we wanted to share, but I’ve promised myself to be as open as I can through all this.
What we initially thought was 2 spots is now 4 after my PET SCAN from yesterday. My team at OSU presented my case at their tumor board.
Next step will be back to full systemic chemotherapy. They’ve also considered removing the pump as well since it hasn’t provided the intended care it should.
The doctor informed us tonight it’s probably best to start looking into a liver transplant as well. We’re not there yet, but putting some legwork in now sets us up to find a donor when we hit that.
Transplant has been in the back of our mind for a while, but now it’s something real we need to consider and prepare for. Honestly, that brings a new level of fear into all of this. We’re thankful that my cancer has only been in my liver and not spread to anywhere else, thus making me a prime candidate.
We’re in a tough spot, but we’ll find a way. Now I just need to put on as much weight as I can and ramp up my workouts to prepare.
I’m ready to fight, but tonight everything feels heavy.
To those who have signed up for the KSU hats, I’ll have some updates soon. Thank you so much for the love.
Lastly, go get screened. They’ve lowered the age to have a colonoscopy to 45, but if you’re experiencing any symptoms or issues, fight for one. I’m here if anyone wants to message privately how to go about that and what to look for. The cologuard and other shit in a box tests are okay, but colonoscopies are the most effective way to check your colon health and also remove polyps at the time of procedure. The prep stinks, but it’s totally manageable.

Good Afternoon Everyone! We have a quick update!
@GooseTrego dropped off the hats to start the embroidery process TODAY. There is a slight change to the hats vs what is shown in the mock up in that the rope on the hat will be white instead of blue, but the embroidery will still be that deep blue.
Since we’ve started on embroidery I really need to remind those of you who have paid but have not put your address in through the form yet to make sure you submit those ASAP please.
ALSO - the first run of these is going to include 100 hats, so we have room for about 50 more hat orders. If you want one, you better get your name on the sheet.

UPDATE
Hats should be finished by the end of this week or early next week with shipping to start shortly after! If you’re on the list and haven’t paid or haven’t sent us your address, please send that to us via the form.
Jake also went ahead and had around 100 hats made, so if you’re not on the list and you want a hat, we have plenty that will be ready to ship in short order.
