Go Time!
Good luck @GooseTrego from your friends at 2CGC!
Not the news we wanted to hear or I wanted to share.
They found a spot on my liver today. It wasn’t there 3 months ago and my CEA levels have spiked again.
We’ve ordered a PET Scan and biopsy of the spot. PET scan is scheduled for the 8th.
In other news, I was laid off last month and lucky to have found a new opportunity. That role starts this Monday, so balancing it all seems really big. I wish I had a better description of the feeling.
We’re tired and a little shaken, but we know the drill.
I’m ready to fight again. You all make that easier.
So tonight, I’m going to make some golf purchases my wife won’t approve of to help feel a little better.
Tomorrow we keep showing up.
-
I won’t let you down.
-
Fuck Cancer.
-
Keep showing up.
Repeat steps one through three. Shoutout Brian McKnight.
Love y’all,
Goose
Please report back so we can enable you and tell you how good of a decision each one is.
Keep fighting, we’re all rooting.
…who also wears blue on important days…

Cancer has already impacted many of our lives and it unfortunately will impact our lives in the future. It is unique people like you who give us the hope, strength, and the determination to keep fighting for a cure, supporting those in our lives who are affected, and to fight like hell if it knocks on our own door. ![]()
You are uniquely built for this. And you aren’t in this fight alone. Let’s ride! Keep showing up.
UPDATE:
Closer look at the MRI showed 2 new spots instead of 1.
Honestly, I’m ready. My mind is clear. My body is strong. Ring the fucking bell.
In other news, we’re coming up with some ways to get the message out there.
Keep showing up.
Grab your popcorn. Stay tuned. More to come.
Where’s the spreadsheet? I’d buy this hat.
-
Kick Ass - You’ve done it before. You are going to do it again.
-
Take all my money and sign me up for a hat.
My wife works at St Jude affiliate clinic here in Tulsa - whatever you have working will probably get bought for all/most of her patients to (a) help you, (b) show those kids they’re not alone, and (c) help to give cancer a giant middle finger.
Working with @GooseTrego, I’m going to go ahead and get the list started for him. He shared the proceeds for the hats will go towards a documentary telling his story. Cancer, golf, music, and trying to spread positivity to the world.
The hats are in the idea phase, but we’re going to go ahead and get a pre-order list going so we know how many people are interested so he knows how many to order on a first run. Price will be $40 shipped within the USA, or $40 plus whatever extra is needed for Canada/the rest of the world. Goose is currently working hard to get the details confirmed on when exactly the hats will be available. Currently shooting for pre-orders to close on Memorial Day.
Sign up sheet should be below. I’ll mark each person as paid after I get confirmation of the venmo. My venmo info is on the sheet below the image of the hat.

Not to be THAT GUY™ but as a guy with a large dome, can consider large dome hats? I already paid, so happy to contribute the $40 regardless but… would love to rock this hat, instead of passing it on to someone else. ![]()
So apparently Venmo doesn’t work without a US registered phone number?
If anyone knows a way around that, let me know, otherwise @GooseTrego point me in the direction of your charity of choice and I’ll send some money their way (the hat, while sick, isn’t really the point)
Keep fighting the good fight dude - I’ve followed this thread quietly for a long time and it’s been incredibly inspirational
Can you make PayPal work? I don’t necessarily love the idea of having funds in two different places, but if it gets more people involved then that’s a small price to pay.
If you don’t want funds in two places, he can PayPal me and I’ll send the Venmo over
Pretty sure there’ll be no issues with Paypal, appreciate it
Got @BaconFingers squared away, so I’m going to add PayPal as a payment option for those that don’t have Venmo. We want to make sure anyone who wants a hat can get one.
I wear a 7 1/2 fitted. The sample I have is a mid to high crown and on the 5th clip. Is clip the right word? Maybe.
I would think this would fit an 8 size easily. If I’m wrong and the hat isn’t a great fit, I’ll try to find a bigger option!
Thank you @golf4miami for helping me organize this and thank you everyone who’s joined the list! Incredible!
Spread the word!!
