Team,
March is colorectal cancer awareness month. It’s probably national pancake month too… but hear me out.
Tomorrow marks 4 years since my diagnosis. It’s always a tough day, but tomorrow I will reflect on my NLU and refuge family early and often throughout my day. Wear some blue tomorrow for the kid. It always brightens my day!
I’m also challenging myself to do 400 push ups every day in March. So far so good. Most of that nonsense will be on my social if you’re interested in helping spread the word to raise some awareness this month!
Thankful.
Keep showing up.
Love y’all,
-Goose
Best I can give ya is maybe 400 for the month
Keep swinging!
I’ve written and deleted this post many times.
This is your thread. This is not about me. And I just want to say that I’m inspired by you.
I’ve been in remission for a little over a year. I had my last scan on Friday. Now the wait begins. Oncologist appointment on Wednesday. Every hour. Every day. Is a mind fuck. Is my life about to be turned upside down? You are spot on about the unique challenge that is remission. Unquestionably, grateful for the gift that I’ve been given. But every scan brings a new challenge. And just like golf, most of that challenge is between the ears.
I just wanted to say that you are inspiring me and countless others. Thank you for using your platform to encourage others.
Keep. Showing. Up.
Had the pleasure of meeting @GooseTrego IRL at the NIT last fall.
Championship round. @duncmitchell, @Manhattan and I are ripping around in a cart. We decide to head up to the clubhouse to get drinks and a choice spot next to 18 green.
I was hanging off the back of the cart and someone says something along the lines of, “Let’s go get weird.”
We immediately pull around the bathrooms near 12 tee and there’s Goose and I think JPond. Goose is hanging from a building support beam, just ripping pull-ups.
Good thoughts your way today and every day. Pop says Keep Showing Up to Watch Squirrels.
You’re my boy blue! Let’s go @GooseTrego
While we wait for Goose’s next round of labs, I’ll share that my scan last week was clean. I’m now almost 18 months cancer free and my doc has pushed my next scan to 6 month intervals. I’m exceedingly grateful for the support and encouragement, and I hope to share that same love with others in this battle.
Keep. Showing. Up.
KEEP SHOWING UP!
Labs tomorrow!
