These are slick. What camera/lens combo?

My first trip with the new camera setup. Certainly going to take some practice and dialing it in but excited for some of the shots I did get.

Took my camera on the course for the first time ever playing with some friends in Naples last week. Learned a lot from my first outing with it

  • Try to make a good photo first, rather than just relying on high frame rates to do the job

  • Get in a good position and frame it up while other people are taking their turn. You can probably go more places than you think

  • Bring your zoom. These were all shot with the 35mm (on fuji) prime. Even slower glass will have plenty of light for fast frame rates

  • Keep moving along. I dont think I ever slowed down the group taking shots. Just bring it with my clubs and take stuff when an opportunity arises

Clarity of these is mega. Seeing them makes me want to grab a camera, but I also know I barely take photos of golf courses when playing them, so it would be wasted!

Thanks…I wasn’t sure if there would be a big difference between a camera and iphone but boy was I wrong.

Some favorite film shots of mine from the last month. Some from home and some from the tumbleweed two ball put on by the SW Roost. Shot on Portra 400 :film_strip:

I just got a camera from my dad, hoping to take some golf course shots this week on a trip. Been playing around with it, but still not much idea what I’m doing. Is there a default setting that will be good enough for most shots?

It’s a Canon E0S7D with 17-50 F/2.8 lens. Looks like Av is my best bet for depth of field, been trying different F and ISO values from there. Any other settings besides those that I should be worried about as a newbie?

If you are taking landscape style pictures of the course, Aperture priority (AV) is good. High F number to keep everything in focus.

If you are taking pictures of people swinging, use shutter priority (TV) and try to keep shutterspeed around 1/2000 to prevent motion blur :+1:

Only able to post a single shot from Wednesday’s practice round. Very telling the difference between early morning shots and the midday stuff. Older model Rebel T2i. Will have to put them through LightRoom or whatever the free version is. Tips and criticism are welcome.

Film from the Masters got fucked up, but some of the photos turned out.

I’ve gotta know who the wife called to get them to put a sign on the boards….and if he ever called her

I don’t know. I haven’t been able to get the thought out of my head since Monday

Does the clubhouse have a published number?

Gosh that would have been sick if Meredith went into labor and that’s how Scottie found out. Just a massive “Scottie Scheffler Call Wife” next to his name on top of the leaderboard.
