Let’s go launch 'em
Having played in this event too it’s awesome to see the course on film. It’s such a cool place even if it costs $1.5 mil to join.
Rules side note: When Neil’s playing partner played Neil’s ball on #6. Neil should’ve placed a new ball on the spot of his original (or closest area similar to the original lie) instead of dropping one.
Spoiler for Hole #9
I made an 8 on Hole #9 doing basically the exact same thing Neil did. I feel much better knowing I wasn’t the only one.
Just launched it, but this course looks sweet and not easy at all
this course looks incredible
feel this round in my bones as a Neil-level golfer. Don’t really hit the ball that bad but you just can’t stop making bogeys. Allergic to easy pars. Couple easy birdies. Not many truly bad swings. Just 4 average swings that repeatedly add up to a dropped shot.
Courses like this eat us alive. The only players that can score well here are plus caps or scratch golfers having a solid day. Any worse than that and it’s an 87.
IDK what I was expecting when Neil and Cody were headed out to The Bridge. Just zero context of it.
I was blown away by the footage and am dying to get out there. Just need to save $1.4999 Million more so I can join.
The Director of Golf is a big architecture nut and enjoys showing off the course. I think he spends ALOT of time on GolfClubAtlas. It wouldn’t shock me if a well timed email would lead to a round in the shoulder season.
This course really popped off the screen in this video, amazing to behold. I’ll echo what everyone else said, wasn’t even that bad of a round but just kept missing on the wrong side too many times. Those are the most frustrating rounds for sure.
Also like DJ Pie mentioned about Neil developing a feel for the draw which brings the hook into play. Tread lightly there… just ask Soly (and me!). Yanking balls left ruin your rounds sooo much more than swiping it right.
Watching Neal hit draws was freaking jarring. Really convinced me to get back in the lab in the spring and go back to my draw off the tee after fighting it all year trying to hit a fade.
This guy is the definition of a menace. Hitting the wrong golf ball at tournaments all over Tri state area
A guy at my course lost the club championship because he played the wrong ball on the last hole with a 2 shot lead. TOUGH scene
@carrybagswag see? It happens to the best of us
Haven’t watched a ton of this yet but will echo everyone who is blown away by how this looks on camera. There was one shot early on where i thought this was something in the sand belt. Place looks sick
What kind of idiot would play the wrong ball?
In this guys defense they were both prov1 #1s but this one had a logo on it that was face down in the turf when he hit it so he didn’t see it. He should have known it wasn’t his because it was a solid 40 yards behind his drive though.
Hearing DJ just being terrified of the ball screaming left is something I can understand, but even more than that he seemed to be anti draw, which I took as a personal attack. Hit those high draws.
Having played the Bridge in competition I can vouch for how difficult it is. The wind can whip around that place and make it insanely hard.
Some might say he was performing ambush marketing for the wipey fade.
