After fighting the hooks for the last 3 seasons and finally getting it under control by going back to a fade/push, I can not imagine someone WANTING to play a draw.
This is why I play TP5x in tournaments. Can’t hit the wrong ball is 95% of the field is playing a different make.
Was hitting balls a bit yesterday, ourdoors, in Michigan, and I hit a few fades and was not pleased. I do not like seeing the ball drift right. At all. I can handle a shove every now and then, but I do not like seeing the ball cut.
The reassuring thing with my right miss is that it’s so spinny that once it’s on the ground it’s not going too far. When I had the left miss going that ball would hit the ground with speed and end up way further offline/out of play.
Play your natural shot is the message. But wanting to hit a draw when you’ve always been a fader is a recipe for disaster.
The key is to play both.
The hard part is not knowing which one is coming.
@MerchCzar @Cody @djpie I can’t speak for everyone - but gosh this is the exact content I love to see. Lots of golf footage, on a sick course, with some stakes. @MerchCzar way to put it on film and try something hard! Tournament golf is just an entirely different beast.
Would love to see more of this - you all should be filming your state am qualifiers, state mid-ams, regional events, etc. I think Cody, Neil, Tron, Soly, DJ, Ben all have caps low enough to play or attempt to play in a lot of things. Would love to see Casey & KVV try some events that have a net flight too!
I want to, and try to, as it generally means I have my over-the-top, early extending under reasonable control.
My best golf is when I’m comfortably drawing the ball. My most consistent, average golf is when I’m slappily cutting/slicing it and knowing that I can at least keep it in play with that shape.
Go with God
The most frustraing golf is when I’ve lost my tight draw back into a fade because I’m coming over the top again and am deciding on any given shot whether to fight my swing or not.
Editing to add in @sundaybag Sorry Ben, big time mea culpa from me on missing the club champ
Amen to this.
If you hit a draw you need to own it and learn to #playbetter because left is death way more often.
Need more drawers of the ball to design courses, please.
I’ll settle for more center and left pins on greens. #deathtorightpins
Is this another Patrick Justine Reed burner account?

Does anyone know the brand/model pants @MerchCzar was wearing? They looked sweet.
@MerchCzar your quote at the end about not enough chances in life to be embarrassed nailed it for me. That’s why I am borderline obsessed with getting better at tournament golf.
Similar HCP to you. Just started my competitive round of golf journey 2 years ago. It gets my blood pumping and also petrifies me. Keep entering the arena. We will shoot our normal rounds of golf in a C round sooner rather than later.
I’ve been trying to get my draw back for 2 years
