We are officially 40 spots filled and 2 into the waitlist!
Those of you who were hemming and hawing
it’s probably not too late if you get yourself on the waitlist (I’m sure somebody who signed up will remember - oops, I’m getting married that day) so we’ll need to pull a few guys up.
Those of you who made the signup
The rest of you
Make sure to get your gear dialed to maximize your day - remember, the morning round offers tee box benefit once you’ve submitted what you’ll be playing! Clubs, and presumed benefits, should be posted here or DM’d directly to me. No post, no credit!
Otherwise, payment is due NO LATER THAN April 25. If I don’t have your coin by then, I’m DM’ing the waitlist and they get your spot. So sad, too bad.
Payment goes to

I signed up for the Loop at the Dunes in September. I really enjoy Belvedere and the Loop.
Reposting from the Slack for visibility:
Question to the group - Is there interest in purchasing logo’d golf balls as a part of the Classic?
- You DO NOT have to be attending the Classic to buy in, but you’d owe me the cash ahead of time and you’d be at the mercy of whenever we link up to get your balls.
- Attending the Classic or not, balls would be delivered directly to DS as a part of the event and must be pre-paid (probably to me).
- Golf balls would be Titleist (duh). Min order for the roost is 12 dozen per type → I.e 12 dozen ProV1 OR 12 dozen ProV1X (no mixing and matching).
- Any 2025 Titleist ball type is fair game (v1, v1x, -v1x, velocity)
- Golf balls could have EITHER the CCC logo, The FcF primary Logo, or the new FcF alt logo. Again, all 12 dzn must have the same logo. I’m not sure if we could have 12dzn v1’s with primary and 12dzen v1x’s with alt logo, but i can inquire if there’s sufficient interest.
- Cost would be appx. $65/dzn - you could buy multiple if desired
I’m keeping a side tally → If i get to interest levels where it seems like this might be a go I’ll connect with people to try to finalize things
If old club sellers were watching their trends, they’d be like “what’s this uptick here in late winter every year?”
What’s the FcF merch game look like? I make sure to get something from every roost I play an event in.
Think I got my set finalized. Gonna be a 6 pointer this year.
We usually have tchotchkes, stickers, odds and ends with the logo. Not sure what we’ll have for saleable merch - we usually special run only for pre-orders and buy to match (no spares / minimal future sales)
I’ve just got a put the bag together and I will. Think the putter I need is out in the trunk, and has been for like 4 months!
Likely set up: Acushet Persimmon driver, modern 3w, 5w, Hogan directors series irons, old ass wedge I found, and Wilson 8802 putter. Was gonna put the 975 fairway woods in the bag, but they only get me 1 point and keep me on the same tee.
Also point of clarification, what do hybrids count as?
What is you stock of hickory clubs like? / clubs that fit the 3pt category
I have a couple of older iron sets for anyone in need.
I have odds and ends available. Could probably be convinced to sell most of it for reasonable prices
(1pt)
5i thru W - Striker Flow Weighting Heavy Metal Irons w/x-stiff graphite shafts
3w / 5w - Striker Heavy Metal Woods w/stiff graphite shafts
Driver - Original Big Bertha on firm (stiff) shaft
1 "SW’ wedge
A number of various metalwoods (3w, 5w, 7w)
(2pt)
1w - MacGregor Custom Tourney Persimmon Driver
3w, 4w, 5w, - MacGregor Custom Tourney Persimmon Woods
1 “GW” Wedge
P - Accushnet Bullseye split putter
Some clubs require regripping and show wear consummate with age
I can try to get pictures next weekend if there’s anything specific you want
If you’re looking for specific brand name performance stuff RoG prolly has a better inventory
Dang. I’m really min maxing here, as discussed in the slack, so I’m looking for 3pt driver, 3 pt wood, & 3 pt putter.
Plan is to slap my lil 3i around the course from the red tees.
pssssssh
go slap around some stupid old clubs and giggle like an idiot
Well if they’re in the bag they’re more likely to be hit. Or are you saying run some persimmons.
I would advocate for bringing clubs that you’ll actually try to use, that make you giggle and that cause you to feel good about golf irregardless of score
I think that’s about where the concept started for me anyway
Here is where I’m at today for options at our little shindig. Any thoughts?
