Heck of a day out there everyone, thanks for making it special. We had absolutely perfect weather, a wonderful course to ourselves, and vibes off the chart - an idyllic FCF event.
Congrats to @BigTree12 for taking the overall victory with quota rounds of +5 in the AM and confirming it with a nearly break even -2 in the afternoon (against a target of 34!)
@JF_NEOH was hard on his tail, but a -5 morning couldn’t be overcome despite a +4 afternoon (against an even more impressive target of 36!)
Glad to see great golf rewarded, both guys absolutely golfed their balls.
Also to note → 6 other competitors ended up at -9 to quota or better, no small feat across 36 holes, particularly with -1pt for triple bogeys on the table.
Playing forward tees with ancient clubs was an awesome adventure. I managed to shoot 1 shot better in the afternoon despite playing from 2,000 yards further back, so maybe the advances in technology have changed the game. Or I need to practice more with the old clubs. It’s impossible to say, really.
Thank you to everyone for your feedback, and despite me requesting a few diabolical pins you guys managed to make it an absolute blast, regardless of which clubs you used, which tees you played from, or which shots you hit.
Don’t forget to put any photos you took up for everyone to enjoy - Diamond Springs has already featured us on their Instagram, and I’ve seen quite a few tags otherwise. We’re basically famous boys.
Finally, I can note we raised over $1,300 towards ESF. While the golf is what keeps us going, doubling down and supporting a great cause is an awesome thing to have going alongside and I’m grateful for everything each of you contributed.
