Would be been for the sickos for sure. 8 hrs straight of golf with like 6 minutes between was…. Well it was long
Particularly for guys like you that get hot late!
Congratulations on the win, again! I want a rematch!
It was fine until that sit down right before 8 on the north. Standing back up from that rest was brutal.
No doubt! We all said the same thing
North needs some benches. There were many great bench locations, and I am sure they will address this as the remodel continues.
That’s why I was laying down in the fairway. It’s important to keep the back muscles loose.
Same.
Well…that, and we ran out of beer.
Shout out @hwb for helping me get in touch with the right people at Corica who were able to locate my wallet I somehow left somewhere on the South Course. Got it back just in time for my flight to Honolulu this morning.
That reminds me, if anyone found a pair of Oakley sunglasses out there give a holler
That was the truest of the true tests of golf.
But, to have the opportunity to then step up, in front a tired, weary, benchless, and restless gallery, and ground ball a 3 wood like 60 yards was impressive on my part!
We can’t all be @zacharyoxman
Many thanks to @giles @greebs @hwb @fullbodyfix @GremlinGolfer for planning and hosting an outstanding event!
Had a great time going around Corica with Doc, @danthaman, and Brandon. It was a surreal day for me, one I still can’t quite believe actually happened.
Congrats to Giles and @D4ndrews, hope we can represent NorCal well in Jacksonville!
a walkoff I will always remember.
Fun way to end an incredible day.
I vote next year we have a shotgun start at sunrise and play as many golf holes until the sun goes down. winner is closest score to quota divided by number of holes completed
Yeah. We tried that this year. They don’t, typically, do shotguns on a weekend unfortunately. We’ll keep working on it, though.
As for format itself, that all kind of depends on how many spots we get. But always working to improve that side of things.
It only took 24 hours for me to go from thinking “this course kicked my ass, I don’t want to play again anytime soon” to “when is the next time I can get on the South to get revenge”;
I know the reason I was able to shrug off my frustrating play was sticking around, having a few beers and hanging out with you all on the 9th hole; helped a rough day on the course get put way in the rearview mirror almost instantly. I am extremely grateful to this crew of good folks for making golf less maddening, and can’t wait to tee it up with you all again as soon as possible. Thank you to the planning committee for all that you did.
I played truly godawful golf on Sunday. But I didn’t really know or realize just how godawful I was playing because I didn’t check any of my entries on the scorecard until after the 27th hole.
10/10 would recommend playing golf never looking at a scorecard mid-round again!
But your outfit was straight fire though homey

Can’t control how you play? Control how you look playing.
