It’s early
My two pieces of merch advice.
- Expect half of the volume that you envisioned when first coming up with items
- Bag and label people’s stuff before vs picking up individual items at check in
There are 14 oyster knives being ordered already. That is 14 more than I envisioned
And who is ordering the most?
The host giving my parents who are hosting my internet/craigslist/bumble friends 2
Speaking of….here’s the order sheet. Turnaround time isn’t long but I’ll probably order next week.
Still remember meeting your dad last year and him asking if I was a part of “No Lay Ups”. Really not sure how you convinced them to allow 40 internet strangers to come to their house.
Assuming we’ve hit the minimum? If not, could always put on the roost thread. If people think they like patches, just imagine the talking piece that a custom oyster knife hanging off the bag will be!
Yea we’ve hit the minimum for sure. Would love to see the reaction on the Roost Merch thread to custom oyster knives
Was checking out Charles Towne Fermentory and check out what’s down the street… sorta have to stop in no?

That is a 2 minute walk from our Air BnB
Fuck it, consider me in for now. Will discuss with my better half and new addition over the weekend and report back
In terms of beer, I think Charlestowne Fermentory is the best brewery in Charleston. They have their main brewery on Savannah Hwy (Route 17) and they just opened a laid back, cool tap room called The Garden not far from there on Ashley River Rd.
Hope is to get a few cases of Ocean Course Ale from Low Tide Brewing, on John’s Island
If anyone needs/wants other beer recommendations, let me know. I’ve spent more of @westerj12’s money leading him to Charleston beers than he wants to admit.
Loving the location of this as well…Looks sweet
Unfortunately this is very, very accurate
I assume @EZmiss will have a TV set up outside so we can watch The Match during the oyster roast?
Anything else, you hyena?
Could be slightly chilly out there by the water. Some propane heaters might be nice.
propane heater or a nice little fire to keep your toes warm with a blanket?
That would be perfect!
Oh, and maybe some lights so we can see what we are doing when shucking the oysters with the custom knives.
