Cantlers, Boatyard, Davis’,& The Point. My Annapolis rota.
I feel you tstavely13. Dumser’s is a fave. The hubby and I love breakfast there before golf, whenever we are in the area, as well as the icecream.
Duesenberg’s in Catonsville and Grill 620 in Ellicott city are my fav two places to eat in the area.
If you ever go to turf valley- go eat at 620 after for dinner
Never been to a NLU event, but very interested in this one. Do you need to be a Nest member to play in these? Also, while outside of Baltimore, any discussion of the best Maryland crab cakes must include our great submission from Harford County - Box Hill Pizzeria https://www.boxhillpizzeria.com/.
You simply can not beat their happy hour. Ever. Tie up on the boat, fried pickles, wings, crab dip, shrimp, each for like, $4-$8?
Magothy Seafood died so we all could truly live.
I believe Nest members will have early access to register and any remaining spots will then be open to non nest members
After watching Strapped Baltimore, my friend and I played Rocky Point and then got dinner at Pizza Johns. Really good combo of golf and pizza
I’d go By the Docks, also believe it or not, Basta Pasta in Sykesville has some awesome ones too.
Originally from Catonsville and never understood all the Dusenbergs love. I definitely agree on 620 and like their other concept mad chef across the street
Taneytown Deli in Catonsville is also a great sandwich or breakfast spot. Massive and creative club sandwiches. They also have some unbelievable crab and cream of crab soup on Friday’s and Saturday’s.
I like breakfast. They make good breakfast
Fair enough, is it better than double t in Catonsville or eggspectation in ellicott city?
Never been to double t, and I don’t care for eggspectation too much. I’m more a local non chain food guy.
I don’t know if you’ve been able to venture to Baltimore much since you moved here, but @kvv did a great job in describing the differences between Baltimore and DC. I enjoy visiting both cities, but they have completely different vibes. DC feels like you’re playing the part of a preppy rich kid and Baltimore feels like you’re visiting family.
@tdogg21 Thats a great way to describe it. I love DC and worked there for 15 years but it’s kinda soulless. 75% of the people in the city are transplants from somewhere else so it lacks any kind of community feel.
The last straw was when they put a Trader Joe’s across from Ben’s Chili Bowl
I’ve worked DC adjacent for awhile (have offices in DC but do everything in my power to never step foot in one). And my wife and I enjoy dressing up and going to Georgetown shopping and eating. But it all just feels very fake and “look at me.” I’m much more comfortable Baltimore, Towson, and Timonium than I am in DC, Arlington, and Falls Church.
Same. I’ll be the guy on 12 for a couple days with the directional paddles which is just a dream come true.
B’more is the true home of the Colts, Memorial Stadium, and Frank and Brooks - go O’s. I’m old school for sure, but can’t wait for this
Dude, played Rocky Point for the first time yesterday. Can hardly believe no one ever told me how beautiful the setting is! Ate at Johann’s after. Huge sizzling pork chops and awesome fries. 'Will check Pizza John’s out next time.
