Great watch. Pumping out the content today. Love it
Neil is having himself a moment. I assume that makes him the official NLU “Golf Daddy” taking the throne from Ben
Positive Neil is really throwing me for a loop. Even the self-talk
Damn…the video has been up for barely two hours!
What do you expect me to do at the office, work?!?! Come sir we don’t do that around here
Do people love Pinehurst No 2? There’s been a lot of YouTube content on No 2 recently, and I keep walking away less interested. I’ve only played it once, so I’m sure there’s nuance I’m not appreciating, but on the surface hole 3 is the only hole that gets the juices flowing tee to green. The greens have an interesting theme, but they aren’t individually memorable.
Maybe watching it when it is slow & shaggy ruins all the fun of the course, but I’m not overly excited about watching pros putt from off the green and make a boatload of pars/bogeys.
Trying to determine if I’m an uneducated simpleton, or if the course isn’t as loved as I perceive it to be.
I’m curious to see the pros play it as it’s something different we don’t get to see them play often, but I’m with you that there isn’t much that stands with the course. Hard to differentiate each hole.
Unrelated to Pinehurst, one of my biggest YouTube golf pet peeves is when a match ends in a video so we don’t see the rest of the course. In my mind, the main purpose of this video is to showcase Pinehurst, but we don’t get to see 3 holes, including 17 & 18.
I think TFE had a pod recently with a similar sentiment that #2 as a whole leaves an impression, rather than any specific signature shot or hole.
What I’m looking forward to is watching these guys have to plan where to land the ball and use contours to get it close, rather than firing wedges into every green. If it’s wet, as you said, it likely will be much less compelling.
I think we can blame @sundaybag ’s driver for that
Outstanding
BLB - Be like Big.
Hahahha Bitter Soly is the best.
He is also dead right on the overly positive playing partner. I can’t stand it when guys do that to me.
hate to burst your bubble, but pinehurst is gonna be a driver wedge fest. it’s not long enough for the modern tour and if its burnt out its just gonna play shorter.
Good note. Tried to show the last few holes during the wrap up. Will find a way to make that happen more in these situations.
It’s a bad look for sure.
I don’t get the socks - not isolated to Ben. Generally to everyone. If its past the ankle i don’t get it
