No love for Tenison Glen?
No love for Indian Creek or Luna Vista?
You can’t beat $12 walking 7 days a week (don’t fact check me I haven’t been there in years). You can also negotiate a dozen reclaimed balls from a gentleman named Marvin for 3/4ths of a gatorade.
I love Glen. Sad it’s going away
I was just catching up and glad someone else saw this too. I feel like less of a pervert. But only by a little.
Is this confirmed happening? Last absurd rumor I heard about it was that they were going to put lights and make it a night course. Like, come on.
Idk the exact plans, but guys in the WhatsApp made it seem like it was decided.
The days of the schmucks overpaying for Highlands to subsidize my goat track strolls seem numbered…sad
First-time responder, but just spoke with someone at Tennison and have been following it pretty closely as I live in East Dallas. Overall, they don’t have a confirmed plan for the Glen yet.
They are building a bike path at the back of the property that will connect White Rock Lake with I believe the south Dallas trails and will be removing a pretty significant portion of the Glen basically anything past the creek you cross on hole 2.
There have been ideas for a 9-hole but nothing has been locked in yet. I hope two things happen, I would love a nine-hole course so close to my house for an after or before work walk and I hope they remove the mats and expand the driving range. A boy can dream.
If you enjoy infrastructure here’s some light reading (227 pages, but there’s lots of pictures), Samuel Grand master plan. The golf stuff starts on page 169…nice.
Lip out. Laugh. Love.
It’s all I ever think about when the daily story pops up.
Last place team at the Texas Cup has to offer to run Pine Dunes’ social media?
Im just waiting for their social media team to get into the crypto/nft game.
nobody tell LinksDAO about Pine Dunes, if the crypto bros get it, i’m burning it all down
You have to film her when she yells at you that she won an award for “greatest social media influencer of all time.”
if we arnt careful she’ll scott fawett us and start throwing shade for no reason
Losing team should have to create a burner account and flirt with her on the comments of every post.
Another DFW resident here, not born here but I’m a Mustang and have played a bunch of courses around the metroplex. In my opinion, one of the best value tracks that I’ve ever played is Keeton Park. It feels very strapped but I honestly think it’s the best designed true muni that I’ve ever played. Off the tee, the course gives you a variety of risk / reward options making it extremely fun. Also, the greens are rather undulating with frequent tiering so being in the right spots is super helpful.
People often recommend Stevens Park, it’s cool but nothing special in my opinion. Tenison Park is terrible. Duck Creek is just horrific.
Significantly further north in Gunter is The Bridges which was designed by Freddy Couples. Looks more menacing on google earth than it is in person. You can kinda just smack driver all day. Although hole 6 is a cool short par 4, similar to 10 at Riv.
