Wish the game was a bit better, otherwise I’d enjoy being apart of why Houston is clearly the best city in Texas.
Man Pine Dunes is so great. Bunch of buddies and I did a stay and play out there this summer. Their little old club house was a great place to sit around and have some drinks. We cooked out with all the other groups and they really let us do what we wanted (late night putting contests, etc.). Everyone out there was super laid back. Y’all are gonna have a badass time. If I wasn’t a 14 handicapper I’d be all over it.
Based on the responses in the spreadsheet, that’s right in the middle among us hacks
If my brother wasnt graduating college around the dates yall are looking at I would try and make it out there for my first NLU event. But as somebody who wants Dallas to beat Houston in everything my lack of presence is a good thing with my current game.
Where can we do these nominations? I have a NPO in mind for DFW.
@Tron Which side of the ball will you be standing on at this point?
Hello All! I was there this fall- Prairie Dunes is an incredible place. Do yourself a favor- stay on property. Not only for the convenience, but Reno County PD is heavy- I got pulled over not 5 minutes after leaving. $200 later I was starting my 7 hour drive back to DFW.
Just realized I’ve got the yearly family Airbnb rental in New Braunfels that weekend in May.
Is that date set in stone with the golf course? If so, looks like I’ll be missing this one! I was looking for this to be my first big golf outing away from the kiddo.
I’ll be staying with my in-laws in Henderson so it should only be about an hour away. I’ve never played the course before though.
Dude…I was saved by @DuckDuckHook at the February event because he selfishly wanted the high gross and high net parlay. Nobody cares if you’re scratch or a high handicap. Come play and enjoy the vibes. You won’t regret getting involved.
Not sure anyone will ever equal my feat at The Brack. And somehow the match with @rka still came down to the last hole.
I’ve always said the match doesn’t begin until you’re 3 down with 4 to play.
@Tron Houston doesn’t care what side of the ball you’re standing on we’ll take you!
As long as you’re standing in bounds you’re better than half of us
Wish I could be there but brother in law graduates dental school same time. Shame since pine dunes is not far from me. On a related note. I might need recommendations on places in San Antonio.
Brack and The Quarry are the first two public courses that I recommend to visitors because they’re awesome and generally close to where most people stay.
Appreciate it. I have no idea where we will be staying but if it helps he is graduating from the dental school there. uT medical or something like that. I think the name is pretty long.
Spending spring break at a place near Cedar Park. Any of you Austinites have a recommendation for courses in that area? I’ve played Falconhead and Barton Creek but am otherwise clueless about Austin golf. Would prefer not to drive too much more than 30 minutes.
That’s in the medical center on the north west side. If you get some say in it, stay closer to downtown and drive the 15-20 minutes to the school. Just not a ton of things to see or do in the medical center.
