Love to see it, and loved that first half! Hopefully the second is even better.

Bumping this! Had another last minute withdrawal. Also you’ll get to watch @tjosu try to figure out playing with some vintage blades since United decided his golf bag should stay an extra day in Chicago.

Well done, @Privatecollection. Well done.

Another awesome Summer Fest in the books. Course was fantastic and the people were even better. Always great to see old friends, make some new ones, and put faces to the names you see on here. And of course a huge thank you to @Privatecollection for running the show. Nobody does it better!

I still can’t believe I get to write an “acceptance post” after an NIT qualifier-especially after skulling my ball into the bunker during the chipping contest :face_exhaling:.

Massive thanks to @privatecollection for putting together another wonderful event (not that any of us are surprised). The schedule, food, drinks, gifts, prizes, and event coordination were all polished. Thank you for creating such a welcoming tournament. And of course many thanks are in order for @cwalsh27 & @AmandatoryGolfFriday for being gracious hosts. Your pre-round advice and cooler stocked with water and Natty Bohs were very much appreciated.

Like all of my previous NLU events, I enjoyed getting to meet more of my fellow refugees both on and off the course. After one of the hottest and most humid sporting events I’ve ever experienced, @craigta saved my girlfriend and me from the endless rideshare line and the torrential downpour with an air conditioned ride to our hotel. Another gem from the upper Midwest for sure.

A big shoutout as well to my playing partners @tvklaver, @Rhyno515, & @MikeyBgolf for another enjoyable NLU round, with the best balance of competitiveness and positivity. I honestly wouldn’t have played nearly as well if you hadn’t kept me in the dark; any glimpse at the leaderboard would’ve guaranteed some level of implosion. Thanks for the fun round you three.

After reflecting, I can confidently say that was my best overall round. It turns out I can shave off plenty of shots if I don’t lose balls off the tee, who knew? (My one lost ball was on the 1st tee, my third hole, where I challenged everyone’s warning to not use driver and to not go left) The greens at Rolling Road were so pure compared to the typical muni I’m used to, leading to much more confidence on the putting surface. I never felt like I was “flashing,” but I played far cleaner than usual—7 pars might even be a personal record if I’m being honest. I understand why you’d want to be a member at RRGC: the layout was tight but quirky, the rough was thick but not unplayable, the length was attainable, and the greens were challenging in the right ways. As frequently mentioned, the pin on 9 WAS diabolical, but I managed to scrape together a par with a putt that would have likely ended off the green if it wasn’t on line, thank the lord. I look forward to playing it again.

I hope I can bring a similar game with me to Arizona.
Thank you all for the great memories in Baltimore.

Congrats again Grant! I was excited to see a familiar name on the pairing list when it was released and it was a pleasure to watch you play so well out there! I look forward to playing together again in the future! Good luck at the NIT!

Congrats Grant! Well earned man!

Had an absolute blast this weekend with it being my first NLU event and could not have felt more welcomed and in the right place. Very solid group yesterday with @dansonnen @MrChickPhilA and @Flipman17 and was awesome to meet so many of you! Looking forward to continuing to connect with you all and more golf/events down the (rolling) road. And thank you again @Privatecollection for all your hard work in putting together such a special weekend!

Much love from Richmond, VA! :metal:

Agree! Almost shot triple digits and came off the course like I shot even par. Most pleasurable terrible round of golf I have ever played. Testament to the comfy pairings and great event.

I still don’t comprehend the physics of your move on the ball, but you beat my ass so well done!

Thinking about you pimp stepping in those 8 footers gives me chills - truly aspirational stuff!!

Legendary time with @Flipman17 @jorem88 and @dansonnen! Was fun to watch three guys that (for the most part) knew where the golf ball was going to go off the club face (aspirational stuff)! Great vibes and always fun to see some pals and meet new ones. Thanks to the community for allowing me to tag along with @ChickPhilA - ha!

Hey guys. I hope you all enjoyed the heat and humidity of the mid Atlantic this weekend. We always dial it up to 11 when the BMW is in town.

My friend Colin, who Neil tracked down and confronted at the BMW, and his wife are running a book drive for inner-city kids in Baltimore. Any donations would go to rebuilding the library at their school. She took over as librarian this year and has spent a lot of their own money to restock it. Any donations would be appreciated.

From her fundraising site.

My Project

For the first time in over ten years, our students will walk into a school library filled with books they can’t wait to read. Our school has gone without a working library for more than a decade, meaning many of our students have never experienced the joy of browsing shelves, discovering new stories, and finding books that speak directly to them.

This project will provide a collection of engaging middle grade graphic novels—stories that combine rich visuals with compelling plots to hook even the most reluctant readers.

Graphic novels open doors for students at all reading levels, helping them build comprehension skills, expand vocabulary, and develop a lifelong love of reading. With these books, our library will become a place where students can see themselves in stories, explore new worlds, and grow as readers

Don’t forget about the quick tee pick ups too! Our guy was VIBING his face off out there. Will always remember walking off that last green and letting him know that he was atop the leaderboard, and none of us wanted to spoil it for him during his round.

You launching piss missiles off the tee all day and @MikeyBgolf hitting recovery shots to 10 feet from adjacent holes will also stick with me. Rooting for you guys made it a great day despite not having my best stuff out there.

Thanks to NLU, and especially @Privatecollection, for hosting another great event. Can’t wait to play another one!

Did @Flipman17 just say @jorem88 has the black hole of golf swings!? We don’t quite understand the physics, but it will definitely fold some space and time and get you somewhere.

I had a phenomenal time playing some crazy golf. Looking forward to more NLU events in the future. @MrChickPhilA
