Pretty sweet moonrise at my first dispersed campsite of the trip.
Red eye home was one of the few flights at PHX not effected by the ATC delays. Get on the plane ready to head out for our 12:59 departure. Pull away from the gate. Mechanical error pops up that āwe just have to head back to the gate to do some paperwork and should be off in 20 minutesā. I fall asleep. Person next to me wakes me up at 3:30 and says weāre getting off the plane.
Current o/u is set at 4:20am for take off. Place your bets now!
Winning Average Joe award again this year - turns out Iām just becoming the benchmark to beat it seems.
Had a blast this week with you all - so fun to see friends again and spend some time having our minds melted by Lucasā magic. @Privatecollection as always - you are a gem and appreciate all you do for the community.
Also - not nearly was enough said about @MattyB winning the long drive event that happened Sat night at the same time (not related to NIT). @Soly was just trolling when he called it a participation medal, he just walked up after 36 holes of golf & casually hit a 25y grid 350y. What an animal.
The kid is looking trim!!!, my god
The over crushed. 4:59 departure but they got us back home. The amazing weekend was well worth the delay! Iād happily deal with travel issues to attend any event organized by the GOAT herself @Privatecollection
The ā40 Years in the Desertā mixtape
Gentlemen, what a fantastic experience all-around. Just wanted to drop a brief comment to put my gratitude in writing.
@Cody thanks for extending the invite my way, and @Soly and the rest of the NLU team, truly appreciate shoeing in the SERVPRO Award and offering the refund for last place gross finisher. Like it never even happened. Special stuff!
Out here trying to become to most hated man on the Refuge with his first and only post.
Aspirational!
Is that a sponsors invite into a siggy taking the most of the opportunity?!
You got it all wrong, bud.
I have reputation of having terrible takes to uphold here!
SICK!!! Inadvertently stirring the pot. Welcome to the show!
I greatly enjoyed our battle pillow fight Saturday morning. Spent all day looking across at each other we should have been looking for @JAD in the rear view.

Had an absolute blast riding around in the cart during the final round with you. Crushing nooners, watching you sweat the Vandy game, and putting UT fans in their place.
Just wait until I start whining about not getting tee gifts for my event and that people play too fast!
At the risk of dumping another recap post on the pile, hereās my brief-ish one to offer up.
As many others have said, @Privatecollection is a superstar and I swear thereās 3 or 4 of her floating around at all times. The attention to detail and dedication that goes into ensuring that 100 schwaldos have the best time possible is uncommon (and frankly unnecessary), but so appreciated.
I would say I lucked out with great groups all week but that seems to be the norm rather than the exception. Genuinely enjoyed each playing partner I had and meeting such great folks throughout the week was a treat. A special shoutout to @MrChickPhilA whom I was paired with Friday morning and I couldnāt have asked for a better sherpa to keep things light for my maiden NIT experience. As he eloquently put it, āJust want it to look like fucking golf todayā, and I think we mostly did a good job of keeping it between the mayo and mustard.
Congrats to @LaneRock19 for the hard-fought victory and a giant thank-you to the whole NLU crew for putting on this special event. Until next timeā¦
Almost forgotā¦Lucas the magic man, you are one depraved individual.
Every year I read through this thread post-NIT, get FOMO, and convince myself that next year is the time I qualify. Aināt happened yet but we plan to try once again!
Such a good time! I had the pleasure of playing with such a great group of people (all three rounds). I managed to get through 2 rounds without throwing any clubs. My putter is a bit wounded from round 3, but such is life!
Truly had a blast and canāt wait to host some folks for G in Vegas!
Shoutout to @OldIronSkull for putting down Electric Pow Wow Drum by Tribe Called Red as your walk up song. Got me absolutely fired up on the range.
Unfortunately, following it with the Andy Griffith theme is why I shot -4 quota points
Had a wonderful time once again, @Privatecollection runs quite the event. Incredible value as well and thatās much appreciated especially compared to most things these days. Just want to make sure that doesnāt get overlooked in regards to everyone who was a part of putting this together. Thank you.
Also, who was that idiot who drove his cart into the electrical box between 7 green and 8 tee box during the final round?
What a dumbass.
