Sad isn’t it?

Still got 3 hours to kill before I can check my bag (shoutout Allegiant only running a single flight today, but at least it’s to Knoxville), so I may as well kick off the recap/recognition posts.
Firstly, massive, massive shoutout to @Privatecollection. Organizing and planning an event comprised of us chucklefucks can only be described as a labor of love, and I remain in awe of the effort and execution.
From round 1, @OldIronSkull I was glad to meet up with you again in the airport by complete chance! If we ever make it out to Europe in the general area of Germany, let’s for sure meet up! @fishtopher18 thanks for being an incredible sherpa for the first round, and @FlorencePuttingale you are an absolute legend and an inspiration, grinding your game yet bringing all the vibes to that morning round! She seriously had at least 200ft of made putts. Aspirational stuff!
Round 2, I had a career low (at that time) score-to-par of +7, and @rran621, @JF_NEOH, and @Fmacomb it was a battle but we found a spark in the middle of the round with an incredible mega-5 from Fletcher! Cooked it into the houses on right 16, yet played it absolutely perfectly to save a point! I, personally, was so much more impressed with that than my birdie there. Glad to hear Jackson shot 67 on the 3rd round to get the vibes back up!
I’d be remiss not to shoutout Alaska flight champ @tdaly and extremely close runner-up @TBagg. The group with you two and @carrybagswag was absolute ham-and-egg central, and I’ll have so many different moments in that 4-hour span burned into my brain until the day I die. Ted being truly one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met should come as no surprise, and I’d love to get out for a Mayhem event in the coming years! Of course I hope to see Tim and other CLT crew at Mimosa before the second kid arrives in March. I’ll most likely be a healthy scratch for the Madness this coming year, but we’ll get something on the books, for sure.
My heart is so full, despite falling short. Career-low 76 and completely blown out to sea by the OTHER career lows of 75 and 73(!) for Ted and Tim respectively. I conclude this post with this parting gift, what was absolutely my shot of the tournament, courtesy of my ride-or-die James:
I thought I was filming a seconds from disaster moment and it turned into brilliance. Love that.
@TBagg was desperately trying to get me not to try it and you not to film it.
Then hits the celly like a champ after ![]()

Oh and of course, shoutout to the vibehouse @carrybagswag @leftysauce @HHSBallCoach @Jrob0822 @TonyPres and the CHAMP @LaneRock19!
Quick glance and I thought it was Dole.
Then I realized there isn’t a cart 2 feet away from him.
Cart path only days might as well be don’t play golf days.
All of my anecdotal evidence points towards top tier vibes resulting in top tier scores
FTFY. What a saucy save!
Glad to see everyone had such a good time. Fingers crossed I can qualify in 2026!
I did have my first ace two weeks ago, so I can’t claim it as my personal shot of the year ![]()
Some men just have it all hah

16 hours door to door from Phoenix to Savannah.
Not good. But could’ve been worse I guess?
Cancel culture has gone too far
ATC is woke now
I do not have the words to describe how chipper American Air customer service was as they explained that there’s nothing they can do for me since it’s an ATC cancellation. “Make sure you book a rental car that allows one way because some have rules against that!”
“You’ll have to go down to baggage to see if they can find your bags, it can take them awhile!”
