Took down @dgolfman62281 in a slow burn of a pillow fight on a near perfect weather day today out at MP. Also we were off the course in less than 5 hours (4.5ish) which is a huge plus for out there

Their opponent awaits. @nschumerth and I played our match at Glenview Park yesterday along with @JwG3 and @MikeFlo (assuming this is the right MikeFlo). I jumped out early and made a bunch of putts that I wouldn’t normally make that kept him from getting back in the match, closing it out 14, 5 and 4. Perfect weather, great company, an inattentive drink cart girl, and a really slow foursome ahead of us made for an amusing afternoon.

So what happened?

We played the tips and I played pretty well. I think had we waited until Lawsonia things would’ve gone differently, with @BigBird firing a 75 on each course. I had about one bad hole (tripled 9) until 17. Ran out of gas on 16. Fortunately the match ended on 15, 5&3.

@baldvinny and I played our match today at a packed Sunset Valley. It had all the excitement you would expect from a mid Monday tilt. In many senses it was a battle of off the tee vs short game. Even though I struggled with some wedge shanks from the rough and Vince routinely out drove me with his 20+ year old Nike 5 wood, I somehow came out with a gritty win one up.

Last September. We only have 3 matches left though, so maybe it will be done by the end of August.
