Got off to a strong start and built a big lead through seven holes. After that the lead stayed between three and five the of the way and I closed him out on the 32nd or 33rd hole. It was a 36 hole match. @Mr.Sunday leaving at 1:30 am and driving all the way up that morning before playing 36 may have had something to do with it.

Yea suggesting the 36 hole match was probably a big tactical error on my part, but wanted to come in confident! The 50oz of coffee might have also played a part. I feel really good about how I played the second 18, except for a really poor drive on 17. At the end of the day @wseitz26 played much more consistent golf and was striking the ball well. As I said during the walk, if you have to lose in the matchplay you should do it at Kingsley! With that my title defense is done! See you all for next years! (Which probably has to start this year)

Well here we are. We can see the end. Shoutout team old guys, it’s me and @wseitz26 left standing.
After a long layoff, I’m not sure we saw @dflock24’s best stuff today, making it a tough ask to overcome 11 strokes.
I was 2 up at the turn, then left a putt on the lip on 14 that would’ve ended it. We pushed 15 for a 4&3 win.
Meanwhile I have donned the Icarito wings, playing the best I ever have. When will the fall come?

@andrewf has to wear the wedding kilt and @wseitz26 has to suit up in the uniform of whatever sport he played in college.
Personally hoping he wrestled. Would love to see a singlet with a collared shirt underneath.
