While not an official Rap Round match, @BigBird was insistent that I post to the Refuge to let everyone know that he managed to close out a 13+ handicap on the 16th hole at Village Links.

Meanwhile, we have agreed that our official match play round shall be contested on David McLay Kidd’s Mammoth Dunes on July 11th, 2024.

@mlakota and I technically played our match at CCC today. By pure definition it was in fact a game of golf. I won 2up.

@wseitz26 and I played our match today at Preserve. Was a great walk, golf was below average for both of us, but overall can’t complain about a Friday afternoon round. Came back to tie the match from being dormie on 17 tee but Bill took the match in a chip off, knocking it to 4 inches on our third chip. A worthy winner!

I mean, sure, if halving a par five with 8s is below average. Great weather. Almost needed goose relief. Muskrats. Cicadas. Barstool dudes. We had a little bit of everything.

Looks like our last match of round 1 is the tantalizing @Mr.Sunday vs. @kmcswain which should be going down next week at the Summit! @EConroy419 hopefully these two have already reached out to you about being paired up next Saturday.
We have a lot of great story lines heading into round two. Such as the match between @dflock24 and @dgolfman62281 which will determine who is the greater golfer with a username that starts with D and ends with numbers.

In what can only be described as a roller coaster of a match, I ultimately prevailed over our banished brother. It should be noted that he battled back from 4 down to square things headed into 13! @treeputttim I am on to the next round!
