I think I’ve mentioned just the once on here but I tore my Achilles (left one, this time) and had surgery just after Xmas. I’m healing quite well, ahead of schedule. Still probably another couple weeks away from taking full hacks. Despite my best Google efforts, I have no clue what the expected return to play is for golf. But I was able to walk 3 miles today so getting around the course shouldn’t be a major problem.
@treeputttim when are we expected to have our first knockout match finished by?
It sucks but the recovery protocol has become so much faster. 2016 was 8 weeks cast + 4 weeks boot to 2 weeks splint + 4 weeks boot this time. Makes it a lot more tolerable. And having had a really successful recovery from a previous achilles rupture makes this a lot less scary/stressful. I had a skiers thumb tendon tear in ‘19 that didn’t fully recover and tbh that has been a 10x bigger PITA than my achilles
Idk how I missed this, but let’s run it back the afternoon of mudness. After I win the whole event, I’ll be happy to take you down around another nine.
@nschumerth All good! Been recovering from a muscle injury in my back the last couple months, so hoping to be back for Mudness but should be able to play the match in April!
The #3 vs #14 seed matchup between @BigBird and I is set to take place this Sunday morning at Prairie Bluff GC.
Hoping my performance aligns more to #14 Oakland rather than Colgate, Morehead St., or Akron but I guarantee Mr. ‘Bird’ will do everything in his power not to align with his play with fellow feathered friends, the Jayhawks of Kansas.
Hey, @bendersgame! How are you feeling about a match in the next few weeks? It’s time to kick this off. Enjoyed playing with you during the second round at Mudness and looking forward playing again.
What courses are you interested in playing here in the early season? Coming from the south side of the city, but can meet you just about anywhere.
An hour frost delay, but perfect weather at Sunset Valley with @Ballgame, @djheadley and @rmbartell. I won 3&2 in the match with Ballgame, a tall ask for him to overcome 14 pops combined with a “between the mayo and the mustard” round from me.
