@wseitz26 @kmcswain No worries. I can do this weekend also - weekday afternoons are tough at the moment since I just started a new job
@cjordan929 and I played Saturday at Golf Club of Illinois. A perfect fall golf day, producing a back and forth match. Chris won the front 1 up, but I managed to survive a couple near hole outs to win the back and the match 2&1.
Fantastic match with @rmbartell at Highland Woods. Both of us held leads multiple times, tied the front nine, and I ultimately prevailed 1 up on 18 thanks to holing a clutch 2 footer to win the match.
Awesome round!
Also played against @Jacktus31 this morning (same course), and won 3&2. It was a great match as well! AS through 9 with plenty of lead changes
I love these updates! If the spreadsheet is up to date (which I hope it is), then you are both the last person to the party, and the first pool to complete all their matches. Kudos! Really great work Pool 4.
It also means you and @dgolfman62281 should start looking for a simulator league this Winter, as itās time to get dialed. Welcome! You are the first two golfers to punch your tickets to the Sweet Sixteen (tm pending).
@Ballgame iced me out today taking the front 9, back 9 and the full 18 at Sunset Valley. As much as I love that course it hates me. It was a cold but fun walk.
Looks like @Ballgame and @Mr.Sunday advance out of our pool
So will we be able to start the round of 16 this year or is it dependent on how quickly pool play is completed?
@Jacktus31 i just looked back at the scorecard and realized I was 1up through 9, not AS, did I have that correct?
You birdied 9 (awesome end to front 9 ) to bring match from me being 2up to 1up then keeping momentum took 10 right away to bring us AS.
Match with Jack:
Front 9: Ryan 1up
Back 9: Ryan 2up
18 hole: Ryan 3&2
Match with @dgolfman62281 :
Front 9: AS
Back 9: Derek 1up
18 hole: Derek 1up
Lmk if I have that correct or if I need to not only work on my golf game but matchplay scoring as well
Iāll have to look at the scorecard again when I get home, but will let you know.
that seems right. I know I went 1up early on the back 9 but a bad patch did me in.
Iāll be at the Old Fashioned on Friday, so Iām a no go for that date. Could probably do Sunday, but looks like youāre gone.
@Xlink and I played a match at Cog Hill #3 on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Played with Dimitreās brother and @wseitz26 accompanying. Had an amazing time with surprisingly good course conditions and greens mostly healed from aeration.
Went 4up early through 7, but Dimitre hit a phenomenal approach on 8 and capitalized on my decel chip to pull it back to 2up through 9 with momentum swinging his way. I put in back to back birdies from the rough on 10 and 11 to get it back to 4up. Traded holes through the back 9 with both of us hitting all kinds of greens, and Dimitre hitting some excellent approaches that had me sweating over putts. Lost almost every par 3 to Dimitre.
Front 9: Noah 2up
Back 9: Noah 2up
18 hole: Noah 4&3
Let me know if I made any errors - I know we were mostly focused on the 18 hole match scoring on the back. Playing with yāall was fantastic.
PSA - @nschumerth is a killer. I tried to mount a comeback at the turn and he shut it down with back to back birdiesā¦ his driver was on point.
Dan and I took advantage of an accidental day off that lined up for both of us and got our match in today at Grand Geneva Highlands course, which was in great shape and well worth the $45 each today.
I managed to handle business against DTMD today and took all the points, stealing the front 9 with wins on 8 and 9 and closing out the back on 16 4&3 for the total and 3&2 for the back 9.
How do we know this is true if Dan the man isnāt here to recap it?
If you donāt believe me just ask the guy from Michiganā¦
@treeputttim is the plan to have some matches play in March mudness? #synergy
I am all about efficiency, so if possible, absolutely!
We can make that happen
