Any interest in adopting the awkward distant cousin that lives on the other side of the tracks into the region?
That’s up to @sundaybag @Double_Bogey_Dave and the rest of the NLU gents to decide
Hello. Should’ve posted this here I suppose.
Sorry for clogging shit. My guys are booking flights and just want to make sure I have the days correct.

I’ll also be curious if anyone from Oregon makes a pitch for a Roost. There are quite a few Portland guys that are kind of tagging along in our Roost, but I feel bad that they aren’t able to participate and be as active.
Maybe @astrodupes can rally the troops
From our roost thread:
(sorry your link is restricted)
Thx mate. Dming you
I will also be on the lookout for more supplemental Friday stuff as it comes together. Would love to play as much as possible.
very sound list, I’d start at Negro Leagues baseball museum and work your list of sites to see/do in that reverse order, but all told, excellent list.
Addendums:
-Walsh’s Corner Cocktails in Waldo
-right next door is Chelly’s Mexican food is best in town
-Brewery Emperial in the Crossroads is mandatory IMO
-Mockingbird Lounge in KCKS has best eastern view of downtown and a great little nouveau mexican menu with fantastic cocktails
-Up Down is an adult arcade (game room with skiball and cocktails & beer) also in the Crossroads
too many more worth your limited time. any questions, just ask me I’ll be around along with my GPGC Crew!
A general comment on roost stuff for next year:
I wonder if part of the roost organization moving forward needs to be to have a designated scorekeeper? It seems like organization was too much work already, probably not fair to pile more responsibility onto the captains. Keeping track of scorecards/format/rules is not easy.
We had a couple people including myself in the lowcal roost handling scorecards (not the captain) for our qualifying during the entire season. Probably should ask those people to step up to handle this sort of thing at the events too
I always enjoyed going to The Ship for a few drinks
Edit: I missed it he has The Ship on his list
Or everyone just plays for vibes which are much easier to keep track of honestly…
Just have to say that the vibes were through the roof all day yesterday with @chrismarz and damn that dude can play some golf. @anon43372372 joined us for the last 9 and helped make a good day great!
Cheers to y’all from @Josh-P and I
As a captain, I can tell you this is 100% correct and 100% on the captain to delegate. I think we’ve all learned that this year. Live and learn.
If we had access to golf genius it would probably solve a lot of problems
Can confirm golf genius is legit, @tniloc ran it for @TheDuckClub all season.
Flawless.
Wasn’t this part of the reason for pinz?

Also, apparently the unwritten rule that once all competitors have left the course and acknowledged a result, the competition is officially over needs to be a written rule.
Cheers! It made it much easier for everyone, especially since we are so geographically spread out up here. The fact it can run one two three different handicap formats in one match for us helped across all our events.
There are written rules for this, Joe. ![]()
