2024 Refuge Roosts: Local Clubs & Club Championship Outline

Just want to echo Tom’s thoughts here.

This marked my first regional event with this community and I drove home with nothing but positive things to say about the people and the quality of the event (including the courses and the format).

Look forward to seeing everyone again at some point down the line.

I’ll third this! This was my first real golf trip and it made an impression how welcoming everyone was. It was awesome playing some competitive golf with great people, on some really nice courses… even if we wound up tying!

Congrats to The Duck Club for posting a serious team quota score on Sunday and getting it done. +6 team quota points compared to our -1. Their 3 afternoon golfers were behind the 8-ball but sucked it up and posted huge back 9 scores including a birdie and two pars on the 18th. Their high HC shot a 39 and covered his entire quota in 9 holes!! A tip of the hat to that entire group.

Our crew had a ton of fun on Saturday playing our side of the battle. Hoping next year we get to play at the same venue as other roosts as the images and stories shared by all of you sound like a lot fun regardless of the results.

Good luck to all the roosts playing this weekend!!

Couldn’t have said it better myself Kyle.

Big shout out to everyone who made it possible. Was great meeting up with all of you. Hope to do it again soon.

It was an honor to be out at Pasatiempo yesterday following my lads around as they earned their spot in KC. I saw a lot of great shots, some impressive greenreading and just all around awesome sportsmanship from
Both sides.

I think we set a nice blueprint going forward: a friendly on Friday afternoon, dinner with both teams hosted by the home Roost on Friday night and our comp on Saturday.

My guys played sone really great golf and I want to shoutout @fullbodyfix @3jackbirdie @j.holliday @bw72 for their outstanding play yesterday.

And just as importantly I want to take a moment to thank the @PNWCrew and specificity @Mattyeds @richardlhawkes @davidc @rabsie for being truly class guys. I apologize for calling each of you the wrong name 5 billion times yesterday. And to @MrVinegar206 for captaining their team in absentia.

The left coast doing things the right way, opposed to some of the shenanigans we’ve seen on the right coast this weekend.

Shenanigans, you say?

Things get weird south of the Mason-Dixon, us northerners don’t have time for controversy

The northeast captains all did a great job of setting up a fun weekend where everyone kept things in perspective and played some really fun golf.

Forgive me if this has been discussed earlier (a cursory search shows me it hasn’t), but any tips/recommendations/ideas for accommodations in KC weekend of? Looks like the chiefs are out of town that weekend.

As in they did math correctly?

I have a few spots. Let me know if you want me to post in here or DM or whatever.

This is my early list. I’m sure other KC peeps will jump in with good recommendations. @sundaybag

Have you thought about a Google Map layer for organization?

ICYMI: @RockyMountain golfed the shit out of their balls yesterday in Omaha and took the Heartland region to task. Well done, gents. 41 stableford points in 9 holes is sus but we’re above backhanded message board accusations in this part of the world.

My Loon Squad may have gotten boat raced, but damnit if they didn’t look good doing it
