Appreciate the feedback and support Yesterday was an all timer for us and can’t thank our competitors for getting involved and our hosts at Park Mammoth Golf Club enough. Incredible spot… hope to see the Ohio and STL Roosts join us at Park Mammoth on the fall, and any other Roosts that can make the trip to central KY!
Idk the full story, I think @anon7517772 has a little better read in it even though I joined their trial membership.
What I do know… Park Mammoth used to be the course for Mammoth Cave Resort, under a different name, but was a generally bad golf course with rattlesnakes abundant in the trees just off the fairways. With the resort closing down a few years ago, the course closed too and remained closed for a few years until (so the story goes) a Bowling Green mogul, who shall remain unnamed for the sake of the story, took offense to a fine for not meeting his dining minimum at Olde Stone and basically said “alright I’ll go build my own golf course then.”
Now, Park Mammoth is my favorite course I’ve ever played, with 18 good holes that I could play on repeat. 100% open to the public, and affordable too. I can’t recommend the place enough. Wait until y’all see the drone photos we have coming.
We’re hoping to send a team out to play for Europe’s honour but getting 4 people here to spend the money and time to fly to … Kansas City in … [looks it up] … Missouri (which makes NO sense btw) … is a tough ask. We’d have a crowd be up for Bandon or Pinehurst, but KC is a little trickier.
We’ll hopefully figure something out.
EDIT: the no sense comment, btw, was about why Kansas City is in Missouri and not in Kansas!
