You nailed it with “adding some roost events to the RACDG group”. If you want your RACDG, you can have your RACDG. We just want to add some opportunities to the group. Prop them up if you will.

There can be smaller groups in more centrally located areas that play in their “pod” to qualify out and play a champ of another pod in a central location 2-3 hours away (looking at you, Texas). Step repeat until there is 4 folks who will represent the roost. Or you can play a match virtually if you get out of the local pod.

Was just thinking about this. The idea is to start strong come Jan 1. Would love to have some decisions on Roosts and a captains meeting by then. Call it Dec 15?

Right now, North Texas is working on its own thing, we have pretty good critical mass and in-flight events and competitions. If we need to bring others under our umbrella at first we could probably do it, but I think OK has it’s own distinct crew on here that would make for a pretty good group, if not in the first year. Our logo and name will be distinctly regional as well.

I think this goes without saying: The Roost banquet (appropriately named The Trough) menu will be curated and cooked by @LivingLagunaLoca. I will volunteer with any and all prep, taste testing, and general sous chefiness. I will not let my lamb die on the pass.

Great point. I don’t disagree. But Texas (i.e. UT, not the state) also kinda sucks.

It seems there are more than a few OU folks in the DFW group as is.
