at least at this time, Heartland Region is planning on 4v4v4v4 format. Each local club has their own method for identifying the 4 they send to regionals.
In very early talks, I believe this is the Texahoma understanding as well.
appreciate it!
Yeah⊠@tnord has gone quiet. Thanks for repping us over here.
Iâm the Dwight Schrute to @tnordâs Michael Scott. I will not abandon my captain!
Live in NC now but grew up in San Francisco - Iâll 100 percent buy some merch with this logo once you guys get up and running. Sick!
@MerchCzar @sundaybag @Double_Bogey_Dave, wanted to check you guys to see if the Captainâs meeting was lined up yet? The Texahoma Region captains have been chatting, and would like clarification from the Roost Executive Team on how regional qualifying should work, so that we can lock down our various Roost-specific schedules and qualifying patterns. Thanks, gents!
edit: the post I quoted is how I understood qualifying from the original outline, but others have posted other ideas in the last ~150 posts or so and I can see their reasoning as well. Rather than make assumptions, weâd like to hear from you guys. Maybe the final answer really is âroost captains figure it out, NLU just wants 4 people from Texahoma,â and if so then weâll figure it out :).
We will let each roost decide how to determine who to send to regionals, as long as itâs competition based.
Iâm terms of how regionals will be structured, that is TBD, but feel free to share ideas on how your region wants to determine which roost goes to nationals.
Will be setting up the Captains call soon.
As you all know, us here in Northern California are all always high on weed and psychedlics, trying to tap into our âcreative sidesâ. That being said, we have comeup with another logo, solely for Roost purposes. So it is, so it shall be done.
@BigtimePolecat I know your region is listed as Toronto but any chance an Ottawa golfer can join? No idea how it works (im new here) but willing to learn!
Absolutely, weâre happy to accept anyone who wants to join our Roost. We already have our a main event in the works, so Iâd recommend keeping an eye on this thread for future updates. Bit of a hike from Ottawa but the golf will be worth it.
We are also planning on doing a season-long virtual competition, which we will have some more details on soon.
Side note: Iâm also going to be more Eastern Ontario centric starting this year with family in the Ottawa area, so we should definitely try to get a few rounds in this season
@BigtimePolecat @TheRadly
Cataraqui on my 2022 wish list. I guess we need a member to connect us for an Eastern Ontario event at the Cat?? HmmmmâŠ
Have the Dads declared their Roost allegiances yet?
Yo are you a beardless @KVV? I had to do a triple take.
Signing day is still a few weeks away but expecting an early commit from @MerchCzar to the NY roost. Itâs my understanding that he hasnât fully given into the fact that his fiancĂ© now runs the show and the Short Hills life is his future.
Neil, weâre happy to fund a recruiting trip, if needed. We have contacts at the best âestablishmentsâ around the city and have Antonio Brownâs driver on call
I think @Randy will breeze through the paperwork and align to the Queen City out of habit and end up representing Charlotte.
Michigan is where itâs at for the big guy. Get off our Kool-Aid.
@Randy, Michigan is home. Come on through to the Fresh Coast.
Would hope that our Hertz loyalists will come aboard
i will take that as a compliment !!
Itâs safe to say that for no other reason than not liking Bellrieve Country Club, none of the founders will be joining, cheering for, or doing anything whatsoever to aid the St. Louis Roost.
