Ferociously wonderful. Bravo.

I am very much looking forward to this conversation in 2022. Especially explaining what a Roost is and how it differs from Refuge Meetups and NIT Qualifiers.

Folks, The High Cotton Club has just announced our first event as a Roost! “The Handshake” will be the first in our season long series of one day events (or Round Ups, we call them)

We’re obviously still getting logistics dialed in, but the boys were chomping at the bit to go ahead and get together. Full overview of our Roost on the Nashville Roll Call (Post #784). We’re already very close to having our season-long schedule dialed in and I can’t wait to get it going. Huge s/o @tanner_sandel and @Beahrs for helping get us dialed in

Massive overachievers. Sheesh.

They don’t call us the Volunteer State for nothin

Almost everything was already in the works, made it super easy to transition to a Roost

We have already had two full bracket match play tournaments, so when the roosts got announced we were ready!

insert smack talk about other roosts in our region

I think the word we’re looking for here is proactive.

This raises a question I could use some community input on. Looking at this schedule, is the PNW Championship the only Roost qualifer? As in, you’ll send the top 4 finishers to the reigonal events, and there’s not any sort of a season-long points race?

I’m curious how other Roosts are thinking about picking their team of four … any captains who’s roosts have locked down their method of picking you’re own personal Beatles please lay out your method here, so the rest of us can learn? The STROH’s are VERY widely dispersed, so I’m trying to find the best way to spread the love.

We will be having a season-long match play as is tradition

As there are quite a few Oregon folk that joined the PNW Crew since they don’t have their own Roost, I thought a one day event for them to attend was the most fair if they didn’t want to do the remote playing. The RTGS is the season-long competition that we did last year that I’m bringing back again this year. There’s an entry fee and then a cash prize at the end. Shoutout to @Mattyeds for 2021 Champ

First of all, allow me to commend your early work… way to go with your schedule, looks great.

Here in TN, we’ll be taking qualifiers from each of our Round Ups and double the qualifiers from our elevated status meetups (Rodeos) to a final qualifier in August. They’ll battle it out for the last two spots alongside the winners of our Championship and Consolation brackets in our match play, The High Cotton Classic

So two automatic spots from the match play, and a battle royale from sub-qualifier for the last two - I like it.

How are you handling alternates?

Not set in stone yet, but the Championship and Consolation Bracket runners-up would be in line to take the match play qualifier’s spot. The next lowest score at The Showdown at the end of the year would take the stroke play qualifier’s spot

Denver squad is thinking season long match play champ for 1 spot, 2 spots for our 2man season long series winning team, and 1 at large bid, maybe a captains exemption… who can say

I think regional qualifying needs to be done by July.

Big, if true. Easy adjustment to make at this stage in the process… Can we get some confirmation?
