It gets even more awkward when you go to a meet up in the middle of vacation.
Wife - “So you’re leaving me all day with the kids in the middle of our vacation so you can drive 2 hours to go play golf with people you don’t know in Pinehurst?”
Me - “Well I’ve met a couple of them once, but yes.”
Wife - “At least you’re going to play a nice course that you like.”
Me - “Actually we’re just playing some random local course.”
Wife - “Next time just make something up that sounds cooler…”
At this point I think my wife thinks I just made up Vibestock so she wouldn’t ask any questions.
