If there is a contingent of folks from another location in the KC roost (say we ended up with 10 people from each from STL and Omaha) they’d get their own “formal” event(s), with formal events being worth some sort of points multiplier to encourage interaction and travel among the roost.
I see it as they would play in their own “pods” to find a local winner who would then either represent the Roost in the regional event or would then need to link up with folks from outside their metro to play. Worst case - virtual matches.
Me shopping for mannequin hands and trophy accessories to build the Cochran Memorial Trophy when I have the most important interview of my career tomorrow
I just want to drop this in here as things have changed since I submitted the application. We have since added both Nebraska and Iowa to our roster, and are sporting some pretty solid numbers so far.
First unofficial/informal golf outing scheduled for this Sunday at Swope Park.
PNW Crew is just what we call ourselves. We are definitely Western Washington concentrated. I’ve been told a few times from various Oregonians that Oregon has never really gotten organized. If yall want to break off and make your own roost, you are more than welcome to, though it sounds like it may be tough for yall in year 1. That’s why some of the Oregonians and BCers signed up in the Western Washington Roost
Regardless, because we are so geographicly isolated, there will more than likely be a PNW Region recognized by NLU, so even though yall might be disconnected for a lot of the Roost activities, you’ll only need to attend the one weekend in July that we have the Regional to qualify for the Roost Club Championship I’d that interests you
If we are caught in the middle geographically between 2 potential roosts are we supoosed to sign up for both and then see if they are approved? Sign up for neither and wait till January or whenever they become official? Not clear on the appropriate course of action here.
Yeah at this point, I got no clue. It’d be nice if we had enough traction in the area to pull 20 guys but that ain’t gonna happen.plus I don’t feel like plans have been laid out enough to commit to anything. Are events once a week, a month? I like the idea but not enough to drive 3+hours each way to get a round of golf in every couple weeks.
