Thank you to @jthomp, @redbeard_golf, and @Preston for making the trip down from Colorado. We look forward to hosting more of y’all in 2024! Go forth and launch’em, my friends.
Between Walnut, Wellshire and CG we probably hit 3 of the 5 or 6 best public courses in the greater Denver area, which feels like a huge win. Last year it was just figure shit out mode.
Also cannot overstate how much fun homestead is too, owned by the same group that owns Audubon Park, so no surprise it’s that good
Good to see you give your lads a couple months of recuperation after the beat down you are all going to receive in March when you visit Northern California.
Preparations are well underway along the great divide for the Western Communion. Winter league sessions are set to sea level, team building activities have begun too now that the snow has finally broken up, not great news for our counter parts who were likely hoping we’d be under a blanket of spring snow. The eye tests have been passed, excited that our NorCal brethren get to see first hand what it’s like going up against some dawgs.
Net leaderboard got a little firey, as usual. Them boys showed up too. JJ balled out. Would be fun to make up points for inter-roost battles at the big events, for shit talking purposes only hahah.
Ha, was going to say, you can’t just toss out the handicaps. You’re still riding off high altitude late summer scores. We’re down here fighting for tee times at munis with all the snowbirds.
But seriously was a great event and I gotta say @jthomp 's driver off the deck dead into the fan on #17 at No. 4 was impressive.
Yeah, coming in at .8 not playing since November is tough hahah. Had a blast out there tho. @PantherHawk and I had a duel on no.4 consisting of missed 4 footers, chunked wedges and some truly sick 3 putts. That Bermuda grass…she’ll get ya.
Took about 4 holes on the putting course for me and @NYC to figure out we went to the same high school. I remember seeing Carlos in the newspaper haha. Pretty trippy shit meeting on the putting green at pinehurst 10+ years later. Thanks NLU
That was surreal to make that connection. What a small world! Can’t wait to go back to the Griff and find our names on the board as past town champions. Will have to take a picture and post it somewhere here for you
