It wasn’t in an email it was in this post 2024 NLU Summer Festival: August 26th @ Colorado Golf Club - #650 by Privatecollection

It’s not super spectator friendly. The front nine is all individual holes, and really no way to cut between them. So once you start the nine, you’re either walking the full thing or retracing steps. Similar for parts of the back, though I’ll second 15 and 16 which is a fun area.

Other cool spots to watch shots: tee box on No. 1, behind 11 green, 9 green

The other 3 of us will walk. Caleb carries, but there will be push carts available if you don’t want to do that. As a few others have said, it’s an easy walk outside 2 hills. It’ll be warm, but high is only 90, so shouldn’t be too bad until afternoon.

Looking forward to having you all come to Colorado for some golf…BMW and CGC. I’ve got a couple of CU Buff golfers who could use Sunday BMW tickets if any of you not using them. Let me know. Buffgolf2000@yahoo.com Thanks. Bob

Any golf elevation experts out there care to weigh in? I ‘Scott Piercy’d’ the situation and did my own research, which came back at 6% gain (coming from Columbus, OH), but Max Greyserman’s spot on the HH last night has me more confused than ever…Also, recs on dialing the driver up or down? Will hang up and listen. Cheers!

I’d always heard about 7%, but it’s somewhere around there. I think I mentioned somewhere above in the thread, but if anyone has access to a simulator with GSPro software, CGC is in there as Parker Golf Club, and when I use mine the distances are reasonably accurate to real life (using my course just down the street as the comparison having never played CGC).

I just moved back to CO from Chicago and i gained an immediate 30 yards with the driver and woods, and about 15-20 yards on long irons, and 10-15 on shorter irons, so take that as you will. I never really followed percentages.

Wedges up to ~100 will be around the same, then it starts to crank up depending on which part of town you’re in as the Palmer divide is 1000 feet or so higher than downtown. It’s 7-8% in town and should be right around 10 at CGC. Factor in that there’s a number of hilarious hills at CGC and there’s going to be a lot of math involved for all.
