2024 NLU Summer Festival: August 26th @ Colorado Golf Club

Yes still available!

I’ll take it, trying to get my dad a ticket

Does anyone want to play Bear Dance Sunday afternoon? Looks like there are 2 open foursomes at 3:24 and 3:51 for $129 & $119 respectively

Anyone been to Castle Pines enough to know where will be best for watching on Sunday?

Do we know if the range is open to spectators?

Rory McIlroy Blasts Drive Over Range Net At Castle Pines | Golf Monthly

The range has been open at every tour event I’ve ever attended, and I assume that’s the case this weekend, especially if it’s marked on the map. The range is one of my favorite places at a tour event because of all the shots you get to see. I will be posted up there early on Sunday!

How’d you get access?

Erin had shared it an email.

Did email go out recently? Might have missed something. Likely ID10T error on my end.

General public seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the driving range, 1st tee, 4th green, 11th green, 16th green and 18th green.

Range is a cool spot at Castle Pines, plays straight back up into the hill, then #1 runs off down the hill immediately to the left.

CommonGround 9:40 crew Saturday, we walking out there or opting for carts?

I’ll say this as someone in the 930. It’s a fairly flat course and great for a pushcart (they have nice Bag Boy 4 wheel rentals). However, it will be hot. I’ll be walking and hydrating. I’ll add I rarely see people carry their own bags there.

if anybody is trying to get rid of a sunday ticket, holler at your boy

I grabbed a child caddy for our 930 round. Hopefully the kid is cool with a staff bag.

Didn’t know about the rentals, that’s perfect. I carried a couple years back and it was sluggish in the heat of the day

Yeah, I’m kinda the same. I’m gonna be carrying (oops, they are) about 24 clubs plus several different balls to figure out distance and spin.
I mean why not?? It’s no charge and I’ll tip if there good.

Out on the back there will be a cool spot where you will be able to watch the par 3 (16) and 15 green.

Yeah, not a tough walk (just one big hill that the clubhouse is on top of so 9 and 18 are uphill, otherwise the course is just gently rolling). But the forecast is for a hot day and there’s not a lot of shade out there.

The caddies are a nice option. I’m playing in the afternoon and until the past week or so wasn’t even sure I was going to make the trip because I have a kidney stone that’s been giving me trouble. Doing alright now but still not exactly eager to carry my bag for 18 holes at altitude that I know from coming back earlier this summer I am not at all used to anymore.

Which is to say @DirtyHawg @wmorton829 @willig92 I’m probably riding. Save myself for the next couple of days.

It’s gonna be my second round of the day. I’m definitely taking a cart for both, not looking to burn myself out on the first day of the trip lol
