Like most other golf courses that have closed in Myrtle it was to build houses.

Agreed. I enjoyed it, was a fun and fairly short course. Unlike a lot of RTJ courses, didn’t have too many forced carries.

The proposed Columbia contingent will be a commuter rota, traveling 50 minutes via compass rose to Orangeburg, Camden and Musgrove Mill.

I live in Charleston, SC and while Charleston would be very fun for the social aspect, the public golf here thats not outrageously expensive (Kiawah) is very below par. The best bet would be Myrtle if you’re trying to get the most out of a weekend trip for good golf options.
Pawley’s Island is the best of both worlds, great golf, reasonably priced lodging, great food, great dive bar. Let’s make it happen!
Do we have any idea what month this meetup would be? I’m from alabama and want to check these pawleys island courses out!!!
