All I have to say is Big Randy killed it again.
I can’t think of anything NLU has done and he wasn’t the best part.

That was so so good. I missed watching with the chat because of work obligations. Poor Soly, everyone is so quick to praise the other boys but you all brought it for this.
I really enjoyed it!
Some really tiny constructive advice…Maybe in the next one you guys could add a little more context on how much a make/miss is worth during the big moments in commentary or on the screen.
With the eagles canceling, I’m curious as to what was actually on the line when Curtis drained it. I guessed in my head it could have swung really, really wild had only one dropped but it seemed like a push?
Anyway, great job and keep up the good work.
I really enjoyed it. At the start I did wonder “is this gonna hold me for more than an hour?” but it easily did.
Unlike most others above, the king for me was the golf. Loved watching the action and got genuinely suspenseful a couple of times. Nice, too, to see a course I have long been aware of but not eyeballed.
Great watching the pros side-by-side with a near-scratch and a mid-singles amateur. Some good context for just how good those guys (the pros!) are.
The commentary was amusing for a stretch, but for my money DJ and Randy would be funnier and even more watchable just being themselves rather than parodying the TV guys. It was good for a chuckle but I’d love to see the guys “playing themselves” more in future WWOGs.
@Tron When you all ripped driver, how far behind Curtis and Hank were you? I seem to recall our driver numbers were pretty similar (101 SS, ball speed high 140s?) when you guys posted Trackman data from the Cally launch the other week so would be interested in how far behind a tour pro that puts you.
*hot
I think I remember that one of you guys used to work for one of the Big 4 accounting firms? KPMG? EY? Need to go wrangle them in.
watching now
highlights so far:
“a generational driver of the golf ball”
“I’ve had a chance to walk this off”
Absolutely ridiculous and absolutely amazing!
A whole other level of awesomeness in NLU content.
Thanks Dennis @djpie and @Randy for shepherding me through the match. Lots of love for Randy recently which he’s more than earned at this point especially with the top notch on course reporting. The “microphone” cracks me up every time. A few interesting decisions from @Tron during the match but clutch putt on 18! @Soly way to keep battling, but might be time for some full cord grips? Full time rain gloves? Not going to lie, it was tough to watch for a few holes there. Curtis and Hank played their parts to perfection a well
Wonderful stuff guys! Can’t wait for the next WWOG!
All I can say is this was so much fun to watch, I absolutely loved it. With so much stuff out there these days competing for our time and attention, the fact that I will consume anything and everything that NLU produces as quickly as I can just really says a lot. And this WWOG was one of the best things you guys have done, I loved everything about what you did here. You are hitting home runs with everything - keep up the phenomenal work! Please continue to let us know if there are things that we can do to directly help ensure that this content continues and you guys are able to do your thing long into the future.
A few things here:
-Realizing how dumb the grip thing sounds, I’m doubling down. These irons were almost fresh out of the box, and I had not played with them in humidity yet. Mid-day in mid-June in Orlando was not something I was prepped for. I had played with them in Bandon and had not had any issues. But immediately after this round I took them to Edwin Watts and double wrapped them with some proper grips.
-This doesn’t explain how far right the drives were going. Like, I still stink. But on this day, I just couldn’t hold the club.
-I shot like 40? Guys, I’m capable of MUCH worse than that, and have actually been frequently playing worse than that lately.
Cheers, crack on!
Seems like you wasted the “Bad Bart” black glove villain play here. Usually that is a trump card in the mind game golf is.
Beware of guys in: black spikes, black gloves, or REALLY old irons but can play with them.
What were the handicaps for everyone?
yeah, I’m just gonna keep posting thoughts as I watch
“apologies for that language our microphones seemed to have picked up”
LMAO
The subtle sauce of Hank “visibly celebrating” when Curtis chunks his chip ---- completely ignoring any other competitor
Yeah that was pretty obvious. Hank shooting an effortless 30 (-6) when he truly left a couple shots out there just tells you all you need to know.
If anyone doesn’t like this they are being a bit whiny if I’m being honest, Dennis.
Absolutely great job - look forward to seeing more of these. So many great moments and really some very good golf.
This was the funniest damn thing I’ve watched on Youtube in years. Reading through the thread has me cracking up in my office at stuff I had seemingly forgotten about already.
Big Randy’s on course commentary was incredible. How much it agitated Tron was even better.
Randy’s on course call of “I’ll go fuck myself then.” Might be an all-timer up there with Better Than Most and Be the Right Club Today.
I think we played the pros to +4, me as 2, and Tron as a 4.
Poor Tronald. Does he know he is sandbagging wrong?
Moment of the night for me was on 11.
Soly dunks it in the drink.
Randy, from the drop zone, says he just walked a shot entirely over water off and got 58 to 60 yards. Couldn’t stop laughing.
Which brought about a question that I’m looking for help answering. Has anyone ever seen Jesus and Randy at the same place, same time? Makes you wonder…
