So many reasons. I didn’t really take the game up seriously until I finished playing high school baseball my senior year. Funny enough, I tried out for the golf team that year in the having played very, very little but knowing I had a little ability and figured I could make the team… didn’t make it by a mile and that drove me to want to play and get better.
I think getting a somewhat late start to the game was the best thing that could have happened for me because of how much I love every aspect about it. You learn about yourself, other people, how you respond to your own mistakes, it is all on you to execute shots and see what you’re made of.
Freedom is the word that comes to mind when I’m on the course, I just drop everything going on in my own little world at the moment and just try to play as best as I can and enjoy the views along the way. Traveling to some amazing places these past 3-4 years has broadened my love of the game, meeting folks who I call friends, golf is just simply the best.
