I mean nothing wrong with that. Peak relaxation LOL

Post Pfizer round 1 I dropped down into the red for recovery but all my other vitals are normal. My arm feels less sore than a flu shot and I had no other side effects. Respiratory rate and resting heart rate were the same last night as they were saturday, so I’ll say shot 1 is not affecting me at all which is nice.

I was fine 1-24 hours after shot. That 48-72 snuck up on me

Similar here. Almost 24 hours exactly after the first shot was when I felt like melting into my couch and a few side effects bucked hard for almost 2 more days.

I was the opposite. Felt like a cold was coming on within a couple of hours of my shot. A very slight fever. And of course, sore arm.

Took some tylenol. Hit the sack. Woke up and felt good about 24 hours post-shot. Everything is fine since then as well.

Have mine scheduled for Saturday. Was your guys arms to sore to golf the next day you think? My entire family has had Pfizer and has had little to zero side effects so I’m counting on genetics to carry me through that portion.

My arm was sore but if I’d tried to play golf it would have been fine (I think). Certainly with an Aleve or something I’d fight through it. My wife got hers yesterday and she says it feels similar to a Tetanus shot, which it’s been so long since I got one of those I THINK is right? But hard to say.

I skipped the gym that morning, but a couple of tylenol or advil and golf would have been fine on the shoulder.

Just joined the group, excited for anyone to witness my truly insane sleep and recovery schedule because of my night shift work and coaching schedule!
Cheers!

Moving right into summer strain here. Just had 6.0 dog walk vs that being a 4.0 just a month ago.

I’m almost 24h post shot and my arm is too sore to golf but I had no problem working out this morning.

Resting HR today was 34 v a norm of 36.

Mine was sore but I was able to hit a few balls on the range.

I think I had more extreme soreness. I could barely move my elbow off my ribcage for probably 24-36 hours. Advil made it bearable to function partially (e.g., be able to take my shirt off without help).

Jesus…

So it’s wild my mom got it had no symptoms.

I got it? Arm sorness for 3 days.

I joke that it hits the younger people harder lol

Its not a joke…they found that to be the case in the original trials back in the beginning. Found that side effects where more profound for the younger subjects.

Today I learned…

Just so we know I am not making this up…it is in the attached medical journal. New England Journal of Medicine.

If you scroll down a ways (not expecting anyone to read any of this), there is a section titled Systemic Reactogenicity where they get into all the nitty gritty facts about what side affects they noticed for the different age groups. And just about every side effect is higher and worse in the younger demographic than the older. (I teach statistics so I was fascinated by this and we have looked at it my classes for the statistics side of things).

Oh I believed you. Just seems odd with conventional thinking.

Very odd I agree. Would not have guessed it myself.

And I wasn’t directing anything at you. I just always get weary of people throwing around things about medicine that aren’t qualified to talk about it. And I am no where near qualified to talk about it.

So just wanted to state that this was not my news, but something I had read in a medical journal.
