Thanks for the insight! Wasn’t sure if there were others out there, but that was good to know about the right wrist with glove.
I do everything left including golf and wear whoop on left wrist without issue
One odd thing with either wrist, in my opinion, is you wear it farther up your arm than a wrist watch. At least for me anyway. So that was kind of odd in and of itself initially. After almost 2 months now I only notice the band if I snag it on something, but initially it was very noticeable all the time.
Co-sign. This is me too.
I’m same but opposite. Righty. Whoop on right wrist. Apple Watch on left. Golf, run, swim, etc. no issues.
I appreciate all of the help! Maybe I’ll just go ahead and buy one and decide when it gets here.
Out of curiosity, why do you wear both the Apple Watch and the WHOOP? I think they’re redundant for the health stuff, yes?
I’ve touched on it a few times in this thread.
I’m all in on the Apple ecosystem first and foremost. Being able to run with just watch and airpods is worth the price of admission. Also I do IT for a living so having all that on my wrist is super useful.
But yes. The health data is redundant. But also exclusive to each other. I’m not getting any whoop specific data into Apple health or vise versa. So it’s nice to compare numbers. Apple is doing some neat real time heart analysis ( randomly have low HR or high heart rate) and the ECG/EKG is neat.
At the end of the day, for me, whoop is a “fit bit on steroids” and Apple Watch is wearable tech. Each check off different boxes, although the results are similar. Still different enough
What’s the verdict on choosing colors for your band? Did everyone just go for the free black one or pay a little extra for a color?
I am against the Apple watch (paging the Social Dilemma Thread).
I just don’t want notifications to that extent. Whoop is fairly passive.
Just bought a second band. Arriving Wednesday I think. Part fashion part function. Would be nice to take a band off and clean and dry it properly versus just giving it a college try in the shower whenever I remember.
I understand that take too. But I will say, the watch keeps me off my phone. And using DND options help as well.
I need to snag a second, I’m in the “24/7” camp and when I shower I want another band to let one dry so my wrist doesn’t get fin rot
I may get the grey/white one that’s available right now in addition to the black they send you free
That’s the one. Love that look.
As has been said before, one is the wrist brace that he has been wearing for a while now even prior to the Whoop.
i’m on day 20-something with the band. wow. very interesting. trying not to overreact to the data and being patient for another 2-3 weeks. but wow. interesting journey thus far and I appreciate you guise for the candor and insights here b/c I’m digesting all of it.
