Shorts must be loose fitting “Bermuda” style, preferably knee length and no shorter than 4 inches above the knee.

I guess I’m out.

Tasteful golf hoodies are allowed with a collared shirt underneath.

What a weird time to be alive.

I was poking around and shocked to see it’s four pages long!

Played Watertown Golf Club today in Watertown, CT. Friend of ours who’s a member had us out there this morning and it was a good time. Course was nice and they also have one of the better halfway houses I’ve come across. Wish I took more pictures but was having too much fun

Edge of TS Debbie could stop us from getting out to The Park WPB today. 25 sustained gusting to 35 MPH, windiest day I’ve played.

Played Atlantic Dunes this morning post-Debby. Course was wet but drained well, and the greens still ran quick and pure.

Hanging out in Heathrow waiting to fly home after spending the week at Old Head

Absolutely one of the most insane places for a golf course, tons of fun and the lodging, food and amenities were all first class.

First hole is inland and then after that it’s just ocean everywhere other than a few holes.

#2

#12 might be the craziest holes I’ve played. Blind tee shot up the cliff and then 90 degrees left to a very small green.

#13 which was my favourite 3

And 17 which is also a wild par 5. Hit it at the lighthouse and then a huge downhill ride to the green.

Got awesome weather for 3 of the 4 days we played there, one day it got absolutely socked in with fog so we hung out and then just ripped around the back 9 in a cart.

This is what it looked like, still had a blast but felt awful for people only there for the day

Also popped over to Cork Golf Club which is a MacKenzie. 3-7 was world class and overall a great and funky golf course.

Beside that last one I could have guessed with accuracy those are Mack greens. The one with the house is divine

Got very lucky with a gorgeous sunny day when I went in April. Can’t imagine how crazy it would have been to play blind with that fog!

Really wanna go back and try a few different lines off the tees now that I’ve played it once. Caddy had me playing the most cautious lines ever (and I get why), but given how nice a day it was, would’ve liked to be more aggressive. Especially on 12, was hammering driver that day and got talked out of taking on more of the cliff.

Played my first Coore & Crenshaw design on Friday with my hitter at Notre Dame’s Warren Course. It was a practice round for him as he got to play a tournament there on Saturday and Sunday. The greens had been recently punched and top-dressed but it was done well enough that the holes didn’t affect putts/plinko effect. I bet the greens get VERY fun when they’re fast. We both enjoyed it and hope to return sometime as it’s a very easy drive from Ohio.

I even found a blue on blue NLU tee still in the ground on #9 so maybe one of you guis had been out here earlier as well……

Got a trip coming up next week, driving to the Warren course then over to Olympia Fields for 2 days. Haven’t played either before so looking forward to it

Warren is one of my fav tracks. Got to play it dirt cheap for two years during grad school. You’ve reminded me I need to get back there.
