if you go to the 2022 Roster page you’ll find a list of the guis who are signed up to sub. Basically the way it works though is that if a gui cannot make it on a certain week he will fill out the 2022 sub sheet ahead of time, where a sub would then take that spot (refer to the 2021 sub sheet as an example). As it gets closer members will fill out the 2022 sub sheet showing the weeks they cannot make it and need replacements. If it’s last minute or week of the member would post on here and/or the chicagoland thread to try and find a sub as well. At the end of the day it’s up to the member who cannot make it to replace his spot on the tee sheet.
How it worked last year at the course was actually awesome. Basically, the starter just made sure there was 12 of us who went off and let us deal with who was actually playing week in and week out. Since the members pay ahead of time for the tee times, a sub would just venmo the member they are replacing that week.
Sorry to hear about your ankle, but welcome to the broken ankle gang! We meet on Wednesday nights in Lincoln Park to talk about how much better we would be at stuff if it wasn’t for our mangled ankles holding us back…. Your right leg is gonna look like a tooth pick after 6 weeks of no weight
Thanks. I’ll bring the bourbon. It’s my left, which I imagine will be even worse for twisting around it with a golf swing. May need to change up my power draw to a stack-and-tilt butter cut.
Very interesting summary of my charitable donations for the year…didn’t know I’d be getting a tax receipt for the three times I paid to park at Breakfast Ball before realizing it was a total waste.
I feel like in the vein of Chicago politics the Breakfast Ball winner goes to the NIT regardless and sits at the club entrance with Scabby the Rat and a sign reading “NLU Doesn’t Support the Little Guys”
