the good thing about being consistently bad is that your handicap is correspondingly bad. my course handicap is up to a 6, which i believe would make my quota a 12. doubled 8&9 for a -4 for me. what an idiot.
@SammyS was a now show this morning… disappointing after crashing it as Assistant to the Breakfast Ball Commissioner. Feel like he got his days all mixed up, classic Dwight.
Looks like the scoring took a step back this week, just eyeballing it. Was it the 512 kickoff or the solar eclipse, who can say?
Anybody get a decent picture of the eclipse worth passing along?
Thanks to @PinkPantser for doing the brain damage on the banker game, my brain was not even capable of remembering to announce my bet before teeing off half the time. Kudos.
I was dialed into my call in my car by 702, efficient stuff!
I am submitting the order for the ball markers tomorrow. I added a column to the Breakfast Ball 2021 roster as a count for those who have said they wanted one. Feel free to add a ‘Y’ in that column if you would like one. There are 11 so far so I’ll order 15 in case anyone misses this and wants one.
Below is the design if anyone missed it. The sun will be shrunk a tad and the B’s will be larger.
Definitely prefer Scotch Foursomes to pure Alt Shot. Eliminates basically having to concede a hole from the tee if someone hits it OB. And not for nothing, if I’m waking up before 5am, I’d like to at least hit all 9 tee shots instead of 4 or 5.
Alright friends tomorrow’s sunrise is at 5:12. It’s all star break week ere at the Breakfast Ball Chicago so we are doing Scotch Foursomes. What is Scotch Foursomes? I asked the same thing and found this.
“In scotch foursomes teams of 2 players compete against each other. Players alternate hitting the same ball. The first player tees off, the second player hits the second shot, the first player hits the third shot, and so on until the ball is holed. To this point, the definition of ‘scotch foursomes’ is the same as that of ordinary ‘foursomes’; however, players do not alternate hitting tee shots as they would in foursomes. If Player A teed off on the first hole and Player B holed the final putt, Player B would not tee off at the second, meaning that Player A could, in theory, play every tee shot on the round. The team with the lowest score wins the hole.”
