Congrats to @Ballgame for besting me this morning, highlighted by his bomb for birdie on 4 and getting up and down from long right (yes the tees were back) on 8 for another birdie.
Also thank you for sneaking us out early ahead of the unwashed masses. A true pleasure getting yelled at as we walked up the first fairway at 6:05.

This is the closest I’ve to come to playing non-BB at Waveland/SM. I really enjoyed the guy strapping his Sunday Bag and 7 clubs to a golf cart. Then being told they were going to catch us on the second hole, which they didn’t reach until we were on #4.
BBB said they took our tee time so I’ll be curious to hear how long their round took.

We were able to sneak into your tee time and got out a little after 7am. Not quite breakfast ball speed but it wasn’t too awful, right about 2 hours.
@tmstrods fought valiantly but I ultimately took it 2&1 after he lost a ball on 8.
Coolest part of the match was that we never tied a hole:
1 - Ty 4
2 - BBK 4 for 3
3 - Ty 3
4 - BBK 5 in a pillow fight of a hole
5 - BBK 5 for 4
6 - Ty 3
7 - BBK 4*
8 - BBK 4
Net -2 in best ball. Great match.
*7 will go down in the annals of WBC history for Tyler’s grace and honor. I had a ~4 footer for par and the hole in an all square match that I drilled dead center…so dead center it hit the stick and popped out 180 degrees back at me. Ty called it good because that’s the kind of guy he is. I propose putting a plaque in the back left pin location in his honor.

In the battle of of 2 & 3 @treeputttim prevailed and his headed to the final 4.
Here is the breakdown of how it went.
1 - DJ 5 (long lag putt for a comfy 5)
2 - tied 5 (After some great putting on 1, I three putted from 10 feet)
3 - tied 3 (Both Moth and I made great up and downs from the right side of the green.
4 - Moth 5 for 4 (Moth did exactly what he needed to do on that hole and I shit down my leg)
5 - Tied 6 (Moth skulled one into the trees on the right and still came away with a tie, due to my inability to hit a wedge shot)
6 - Moth 3 (All 4 of us missed the green by a ton and Tim made an great up and down)
7 - DJ 5 (Another great drive and another duffed wedged, but was able crawl my way to a win)
8 - tied 5 My drive went all of 30 yards, but got away with yet again another 5)
9 Moth 4 (The cleanest Hogan and only two putt par we saw today)
Congrats again to @treeputttim … go jump on the sub spot for 9/22 to reserve your spot.
